Spend half the money on a carbon pile tester...replace your batteries when they're done. I haven't needed a jump in the 20 years I've been driving. I load test my batteries periodically and replace when they show signs of weakness, and before they fail all together.

Seems there are lots of products surfacing these days targeting people who don't maintain their shit. Flex-seal electric, 12v version

First time I seen was just before Christmas and one of the boys brought one up the river last weekend and it kept 6 phones going for 3 days.

We're so far behind when it comes to technology. Like the internet we got at home is the quickest you can get here and the fastest I've seen it download is 2mb/s, usually its 800kb/s.
You can almost throw rocks at the phone exchange so its not like we're outta town.

I carry one on the water and especially when camping. A lot of shit depending on batteries and it's cheap insurance . I bought one in about 2007 to carry in the boat and it always got a lot of usage in the channel. Yes it was a lot bigger but still the same principle!

So, I have a question. What do you do to maintain your batteries during the offseason while your boat sits in storage for a couple months...assuming you don't have any power outlets etc.
