I stumbled across a "SKV" boat, while picking up a trailer over from a guy. Per his info, it's a 1989 24' with a 454 BBC & bravo outdrive. Interior looks new (he said 3 years old) done by previous owner. Starter is bad.
He said originally it was a Hallet, but his photos show the SKV emblem on the side.

There is some info on these, but I haven't found any info on anything newer that 1981.

Anyone know about these? This would be for the daughter to use in Havasu or at Parker.

There were a few threads on RDP, I didn't want to high jack them.................

TIA

The SKV's that I've seen were built like a tank.

SKV s are built very well. Not styled the same as all the other day cruisers. Hallet actually bought SKV I think around that time. I think SKV were actually built better than even Halletts.

I had a 24' SKV. It was a 1986 built by Hallett that I bought in 1988. The HIN started with BAR which was the give away. Power was a 365 HP 454 and mine had a TRS drive on it. Never an issue with the drive but not something I would have stuck with if I kept the boat. Jim Frisbee came over to Hallett with the SKV molds and the knowledge of the boats. It was a great starter boat for a young family and like some one said, built like a tank. It was not the best rough water boat due to a 20* dead rise but it handled Havasu very well back then. The little kid in the pic is Lake Mead Boater!
