There’s one in Havasu a guy has that literally looks brand new. It’s perfect. I’m waiting until he decides to sell it. I want it.

Silverwings were built by speed and marine and asaociates out of orange ca. Jerry lembke one of the partners was my grandfather. Bud bailey worked for silverwing before hallett and designed the 27 and 34 as silverwings. They also built a 21 day cruiser, walk through open bow, and a tuna (whaler) version. The tunnel remains my favorite.

My uncle has a whaler. It's a great boat. Tons of room.

I missed one, two winters ago that was a great deal. I always keep my eyes open for whalers. That Orange one is nice. Do some research, it's fun learning about these manufactures. Silverwing is a tragic story.

I believe a friend of mine used to own that purple one. “Puple Haze”. Fast and rode real nice.

Yup purple haze.

Mike Mullins at mirage has the tunnel molds. Last one he laid up weighed 810 lbs. 140 mph with twin drags.

Growing up during the 60's-70's in Tustin, I'm quite familiar with the Speed and Marine store in Orange. In following years wasn't the Silverwing brand associated with Wilkes Marine in Santa Ana ? Or was Wilkes a dealer ?
