Saturday I think? I dunno we r just chilling out in the hospital. Stacy's whole family came from all over today (some of them drove from Victorville!). So we had a champagne toast etc.. Been a busy day for sure.

I read a bit of what you wrote about your dad when he passed. I think you got this handled, bud.

Do what you know is right and do those little extra things when you can. Tell your kids you love them, tell them "thank you" when they earned it, let them know you'll bust their ass when the earned that, but never try to be their best friend. That's not your job.

Good luck on the journey. I'm not joking about the whispers when they are sleeping. My mother-in-law ( PhD, child physiologist) just about had a fit when I told her I did that to her grandchildren. I started laughing during her protest and told her " well if you don't approve of that, I won't mention what I whisper in your daughters ear when shes sleeping"
