Good morning everyone. A good friend here in South Carolina is buying a 27 Advantage Party Cat from an individual in Lake Havasu, and he is going to hire a hauler through UShip to bring it back to South Carolina. I suggested since it is wintry, snowy, salty roads coming across the U.S. that he should get the boat shrink wrapped prior to shipping it. Can any of you recommend people/businesses in Lake Havasu City that can provide that service?

I have had 2 shipped back to NC in the last few years and both of them were in great condition because thew were wrapped, also most boats in Havasu are not winterised, make sure that has been done.Doug Parks moves a lot of boats he can be reached at 951-312-7150.I had Horizon Motorsports shrink wrap mine.

Yes I bought a boat out there several years ago but the seller shrink wrapped it without my asking, so I never knew who/where did the work but it arrived in perfect shape because of the protection the shrink wrap gives. I think anyone who is transporting a nice boat that distance would be foolish not to have it shrink wrapped, particularly in the winter months. I will pass Horizon's info onto my friend. Thanks.

My friend called Bill at Advantage and they are going to get it ready to ship. Thanks to all who responded.

Yes Jeff you are right also, Nordic does it, and yes you know me from OSO, although I havent been there much for several years.

Hope to get back out to Havasu for another Desert Storm. Dave, Hammer, MilkMoney and many others showed us a hell of a time a few years ago.

Milkie is hiding from something on some farm these days, Hammers in love now and Dave, well, is still Dave.[emoji3]

I will pass the info about the hauling along, and no disrespect to anyone, but I have used U-Ship to haul a boat I bought out there in 2013 and the guy did a great job, so I used the service several more times, once to haul a boat from Oregon to SC, once to haul a motorcycle from NY to SC, another motorcycle from PA to SC, and a piece of heavy equipment from KY to SC. So far I have got great service at reasonable prices, but each time, I made sure I picked a carrier that had cargo insurance and good references, not necessarily the low bidder. On both of the boat hauls, there were trailer tire issues, and both times the haulers worked diligently with me to replace trailer tires and bring the boats home safe and sound.

I text Milkmoney occasionally, but haven't for several months. Last I knew he was in OK. After we were out there for Desert Storm in 2013, he came to SC for our home lake poker run, and hung out with us for several days.
