Nope, heading to the island for the weekend with the family, i have been having back problems since catalina race. plus were selling the boat, so its locked up tight and clean. you skiing again next year? i may just do a few here and there but like you work comes first, training last!

Not real sure about next year, but i am skiing outboard this weekend, first race in quite a while. well see how it goes.

How does it perform with that 200? Seems like the perfect Parker/ski boat

the boat runs in the low 60s with a small 20 pitch prop and has rediculous torque so im gona put a larger pitch prop on it and i just got a jack plate for it with a ten inch setback..i would like to hit 70 so we will see:thumbsup

Havn't been here for a while, I've done a complete re-rig and triler paint on my little red boat.

28 Skater twin 300x motors launching last week at favorite spot 5 minutes from home in Huntington Harbor ramps are always empty on weekdays and the ocean is much more challenging that buzzing the river in a big cat.:champagne:

this is the boat that started it all for me...it was my uncle steves 20 stoker called lunatic fringe...ive known i would have a stoker since i was 5 yrs old!
i522yg.jpg

this is my dads eliminator 207 edge...it started life out as a stern drive. we bought it as a bare hull and we converted it to an outboard...built the interior from scratch and did all the rigging...great father son memories!

You might see some big speeds with it...we got 113 mph, and there is 1 or 2 more left in it. :skull

I have been watching and following your quest for big numbers with that 300xs/cougar combo(really impressive ) and the best part is I have seen a lot of pictures of your boat never seen one with the engine cowling off :D....I had a 21 Daytona for 16 years with 2.4 and 2.5 motors and the engine cowlings should have had Velcro on them they were off so much we sure have come a long way .... I have started to accumulate some props....labbed 28 et....Ron hill 4 blade 30 p signature series....any suggestions?

For the 300xs, here are some of our favorites...
30 Hydromotive ....fast and stable in the roughest water...We used it for out third leg at the Parker 300 Enduro. Pulled 4 min lap times...dipped to a 3:57 :skull

32 pitch 3 Blade Hackney...with the motor even to the bottom, still ran a 106 MPH speed. ran 112+ MPH with the motor 1 3/4" up. Ran 4 min flat several laps at Parker...less stable in the super rough conditions, but fast !

30 Spinelli 4 blade...hard to find, but Scarlata ran 150 miles with it at Parker and ran 4 min as well....

BBlades 30 Blaster...vicious mid range, good all round blade.

Hoss 32 pitch 3 blade...fast and did not like smooth water.

Merc pro ET 4 blade 32 pitch....112 MPH great ride, spendy...

Hackney 34 4 blade...ran 113 MPH on the limiter. Great wheel !! Better holeshot than expected !!

We are going to up the performance of the War Canoe...lightened flywheel and no rpm restrictor. In talks with Taylor on a 15 inch mid. Should wake it up.

For the 280's Short shafts, we are going to experiment with some 22 pitch (Quarter mile) to 32 pitch merc cleavers, lightning ET's and Drag 4's. We will also contact Brad @ B Blades and see what he thinks will work.

Tim Hackney will also be a source, due to our screaming success with his wheels...

The Church never met a prop we didn't like...they all do something well, you have to find the ones that work for your particular application.

Unexpected prop of the year was a 27 Trophy on the War Canoe ....Made it a short course heater. It turned better, and accelerated harder than we ever imagined. and, IT"S CHEAP!!!

and here's a "no cowl" pic !!

Can't believe I'm not in on this thread before today...but I'll play.

The hot rod: 92 STV Pro Comp Ski w/2.5-260hp. Been 112 on GPS in Havasu.

The party boat: 86 Scarab 30' center console w/twin Monty Racing 4.0l 2-stroke V8's with Merc gearcases. Runs good for an old, heavy offshore boat. :)

In the COR 2.0 class (what used to be Mod VP back in the day), I drive this for R&R Prop Shop out of Henderson, NV: 20' Stoker w/Merc 2.0l

Wow ...that's a lot of testing props(I have been surprised on what strange props have worked and never assume anything and try everything)....I had a Spinnelli 28 DR 4 which was the best "all around" prop for my Daytona sadly it went with the boat...do you think the war canoe could have pulled a 34 Pro E T ?(at stock power levels)....Thx for the help....Larry
