Just had Nick Valore (MadSkillz Fab) do a complete trailer refurb - new hydraulic brake system, hubs, surge coupler, lights, bunks, fender skirts, filled some holes, relocated brackets, sandblast/powdercoat and a bunch of welding and grinding.

I can’t say enough about his skillset, vision and overall customer service. He’s one of those guys that doesn’t need to write down your laundry list of stuff as he sees exactly what you want, and he’s a hell of a nice guy!

Extremely fair pricing and a quick turn around. My 30 year old trailer looks new again.! Hit him up for pricing.

Might need to give them a ring.
I had mine repainted in Feb 2016 by a shop in Havasu.
Fast forward 7 years and rust is showing. Found out, Havasu shop did not sand blast to bear metal, then prime and paint. They painted over existing color and you can tell :(

Do you have an phone number and/or address. I don't have Instagram. I did a google search but found no one in Pomona.
Thanks in advance.

How long did all of this work take? Does he just keep your boat there in the yard covered up?
What was the savings between a new trailer and refreshing it?

The job took exactly 3 weeks from drop off to pick up. The boat was locked up inside his shop.

As far as savings, It all depends on what you’re having done. In my case, I know it saved close to 50%, but Nick would give you a better idea on pricing. His new trailer builds were a few months out but was able to do a refurb pretty quickly.

The one thing that impressed me the most with Nick was the time he took to explain my options before I ever committed to using him. He’s down to earth and a was a pleasure to do business with.

That’s not too bad of a turn around especially with all of the work he did. I may have to reach out to him.
Thanks

What did you do with your boat while it was off the trailer?

Also, the shackles, while it’s on the trailer look like they got inverted. I’m sure they are reconfigured before you got it back?

What did you do with your boat while it was off the trailer? I should ask does it matter?

Also, the shackles, while it’s on the trailer look like they got inverted. I’m sure they are reconfigured before you got it back?
Are they not supposed to be facing up?

I just redid mine and the old ones and directions suggested having them on the frame side not pavement side.

I could benefit from the height gains by flipping mine to the asphalt side but i was just going how the previous shackles looked and what my instructions said.

Everything as far as the suspension is exactly how it has been for 20+ years.

Nick had the boat locked up in his shop throughout the refurb.

Added some spice to the trailer today

Thanks to Craigar Designs for laying down the paint. He did the boat/CF numbers a few months back and just finished the trailer today.

My son found a guy on a Cole Facebook group that makes/sells them. You even got a sweet ass sticker with it. I think he had a limited run of the plates if I remember correctly.

I’ll find out where tonight and update this thread.

I don’t have Facebook so I’m not sure how it all works, but the guy’s name is Brent Curtis Maggard and he’s on the ‘Cole Boat Owners Group’ on Facebook. Sounds like you need to message him directly.
