@GRANT@FUNCO , I have never met you or hung around any FUNCO customers until this weekend. I was a distant bystander at this years regatta. My family had a trip planned and we just so happened to have mutual friends that were attending your regatta so we made a trip out of it. I just wanted to say that all of your customers where really nice and a pleasure to speak with when asking question's about your cars...... No egos anywhere...
I took my 7 year old daughter for a quick night ride and stumbled upon your Saturday evening ceremonies.
My daughter is super eager and always one to check out a party( I wonder where she gets that from!
) and asked to stop and check out all the cool cars and what was going on.. I was hesitant, as we weren't Funco owners or paid registrants and I didn't want to intrude. We walked up during the thanks yous, awards and raffles...
A gal by the name of Cindy waved my daughter over to give her a light up ring and glow in the dark bracelets/necklace deals. She was very nice and I appreciate her being so friendly. She was a pleasure to speak with.
Had I known you guys had a SWAG trailer I would have swung by on Friday and bought some stuff. It sounded like you sold out. All your T-shirt artwork was very well designed. I liked a lot of it.
As a guy who has attended many regattas and boating events, I just wanted to say that you and your team did a hell of a job from what I saw (the ladies run was a huge hit in my camp, my friends daughters were lucky enough to join in someone's car), and all of your customers seemed like a family and that is a brand I could relate too. From the short time I was there, you earned an admirer and a potential future customer!
I just wanted to take a moment to recognize your efforts and say thank you !!
A few pics I took....
Gear giveaway..... It was like a wedding bouqet toss, everyone getting in the low post for position. Looked like some nice gear.... Unfortunately I had a kid with a broken arm, so we kept our distance
