We gave it a scrubbing and dad fixed a busted trim actuator hose and got the choke solonoid working for easier cold starts. Once warm, the damn boat fires up faster than anything I’ve seen, you look at the key and it’s running lol

It is running premix. Owner said he was running it 50:1 on merc oil, 16oz to every 6 gallons of 91 in the tank.Mines not a fishing boat. But
My76 is a blast and fun to run. Upkeep/ maintenance isn’t to expensive. Mines been reliable as all get out. Upgraded to a 88 150 BM In now for new interior. Does this still have the oil injection or is it mix as go. Two sides to that debate for sure.
I say go for it and just have fun with it.

We'll see how it runs, It seems like it has alot of drive in the water for a small boat. Can't see myself hotrodding this thing but ya never knowA little speed prop action raise the engine 4 inches and your good to go with another 5 mph. Just kidding that type of behavior will be addictive and end up being a life long struggle.
Take care of it, your a lucky kid!
That'll work just fine!!! If you don't know the history stick an impeller in it stat!!!It is running premix. Owner said he was running it 50:1 on merc oil, 16oz to every 6 gallons of 91 in the tank.

That's how the wife and I have felt in some friends boat so we take our toon and just meet wherever. Got tired of hearing the wining if a fricken grain of sand got in their boat or if the interior got a drop of water on it!! Don't do this , don't do that, watch out for that, FUCK THAT SHIT, those days were over in our boats about 30 years ago.50:1 is the magic number to keep everything well lube. I’m over the complicated boat days with these fancy boats(new motor and interior in my 230 eagle this off-season). I’m buying a small outboard this weekend to let my kids eat Cheetos and not worry about anything on the water. Pull them on a raft, fish and walk on seats if they want.
That's the next move, watched a few videos doesn't look too hard to drop the lower. Impeller is old......has a strong "pee hole" stream but im sure its ready to fragment lol
We were just talking about this. CI harbor is 1/2 hour away from us, there are overnight motorhome spots near the launch ramp and overnight slips available too. Dump it in for the weekend and cruise around.True that boat will get the most use. Just like my Trophy/Bayliner set up. Fish cruise tube, don’t worry about it.
Another benefit is salt water. We will just hook ours up and head to CI or Ventura in the afternoon and cruise and hit dinner from the boat and night cruise the keys. Hit the ramp for home about 10:00 and in bed by 11:00.
Yes it is an issue. I just went over mine chasing rust. Color matched some rustoleum. And touched it up. If you wash down and use salt away it’s not bad. I still need to open my bearings and spread springs to get oil in there. Put sealed leds on it and do the wiring accordingly. ( marine heat shrink) If it gets bad I’ll just blast it and blow paint on it. But I don’t see that happening for years. We were just talking about this. I'm not worried about the boat being in salt for a few days with a good flush after, but the trailer..............
We ran the boat all weekend, no issues other than the Bilge pump wouldn’t work. Collected a bit of water after 4 days in the water, but it has live wells, ice chest drains, etc so to be expected.
Boat hauls ass when the load is light! I was surprised.
Kids had a blast

No swamps yet lolDid you see any gators back in the swamps??
LOL. I missed this thread. If I had known that's what he paid, I would have tried to beat him up on the price. I still feel like I got a good deal. I look forward to getting it wet!Sweet little boat, congrats to the kids.
