Gary's 388 Skater 184mph on a 3/4 course? That's amazing considering how big that boat is. Did Gary only make 1 pass? I love that boat!

Dial 911 388 ran 183mph? That's really fast considering it hasn't run that fast since Romer's 191mph LOTO days, that I'm aware of? What's it got for power now? That's a great run & I've always loved the paint on that boat!

I hope Gary brings his Skater 388 to LOTO this year! With that course and water conditions I'd think his boat would be closer to that 190 mark. I think JT ran 197 at LOTO in the blue 388, but I'm pretty sure that was still on the one mile course, so that's probably not doable anymore.

Also saw on IG that Tony made a 165 run in a Red 1350s M35.
Hey PR388

Great post! Glad to see you’re still around, even if just lurking. You always brought ONLY positive content and good information here.

Dial 911 has very similar motors to Predator 3 now

I'm not sure this statement is accurate. I agree on the HP or that number as an "estimation" but I thought that is on Ethanol or Race Gas, not pump. Just my recollection...
The engines were built, dynoed, and run primarily on pump gas when Don owned the boat, I know that for sure. He wanted it to be easier to use, the added horsepower was an added bonus.

They will not make 2,200 on pump gas.
E114 I believe
They were dynoed with a a 50/50 mix but are designed to run on pump gas which is how they were run in the boat. Pumping fuel out of barrels got old.

I was talking about Gary’s boat. I know when Don had his boat he did want to run them for the most part for pleasure boating on Pump

After seeing it run in person, I want to know where he stores his balls in there! Hahaha
Listen I have seen it run past me while moving and it does not stay still it looks to be a handful. Spring meet up weekend I was float back towards the bridge. And he was coming up river and scared the shit out of me. I didn’t see him then I heard him then he was past me before I could react. It was wild! And he did not lay off the sticks!

Why are the radar speeds always much higher than the other numbers? Msquared’s Outerlimits was recorded at 121.. that’s high

Steven, the Romer and JT runs at LOTO were 1 mile runs.P3 is faster than both of those.

As far as I know, the Brummett motors are built and tuned to run on E85 for Predator 3 to make that power. I've seen Vern (WCD Service) using a forklift and giant containers on pallets doing fueling and he stated its E85 from a fuel supplier (not E85 from a gas station).

I'll start with the latter and say by no means did I run anywhere near 121mph.......,.for the record 113.7 mph on gps. Then when getting ready to make a second pass I lost the starter and had to be towed into site six and ended my day. I was blessed that Travis Barron aka "My Crew Chief" was there to save my ass as usual and he was able to grab one from Nordic Boats so a huge thank you to Ron and Johnny from Nordic for making that happen.....you guys are always a class act, much appreciated!

As for the first part of your question I honestly don't know but someone had told me once that my Vessel View gps is using sog or speed over ground which will be slightly slower than your actual running speed typically 2mph slower and the fact that it is bouncing off satellites there is a delay in the data transfer, A radar gun is a more direct and a faster means of measurement and when calibrated correctly provides a much more accurate speed. Weather or not that's total BS I have no idea but some what plausible when you actually see a 2 mph difference in Ryan's two different gps speeds. The high winds blowing the radar boat around is likely one reason for the 10mph difference. I know that they are always checking so we should be able to compare various runs before and after my run and figure out what is accurate.

Dave, you know me well enough to know i'm not ok with this at all. I absolutely refuse to allow something stupid like this reflect badly on the Outerlimits Family or Company first and fore most and I don't want to be seen as someone like a Kory for example.... I have to much respect for all the guy's and Gal's that I'm sharing the water with and who truly care about the event. I can say that I'm confident it will get resolved one way or another because thanks to the Kory incident, a lot of good people stepped up and put a system in place to resolve these types of issues.
