Trying to find the right toilet for our master bath. Picked up a Kohler from HD. It’s extra tall(taller than chair height) which I thought would be awesome but it definitely wasn’t. I also hated the way it flushed.

Went back to get a Delta which they no longer carry.

Ended up with an American standard. The porcelain rim is way too wide and the flush handle is plastic so it’s going back.

Looking for recommendations on a good shitter!

I just bought a Kohler for my old house last week. $200. The one it is replacing lasted 10 years. It was leaking and they didn't stock the same flush mechanism. Didn't have time to order it. So was easier to just buy new and drop off to my guys.

They had these Kohlers at Costco. My local one sold out quick. I grabbed 2 from Hawthorne Costco. One for customer. Might put the other in my bathroom. Unless customer wants it for there other bathroom. It opens when it senses you. Not sure what the massage feature does as I let the customers break in there new toilets.

All I know is I bought the toilets for my house that can handle the 40 golf balls test. I spent years clogging up everything else. So far I've only managed to clog these up a small number of times. That's really been my only requirement.

Other than enlogated bowls so my junk isn't touching cold porcelain and chair height so I don't feel like I'm squatting.

Mine are currently 1.6gpf. Not sure I want 1.2 or even 0.8 now.

I spent a few years where the only option for daytime defecation was a green or blue "shit sauna"...basically a bucket in a phone booth. You really learn to appreciate your home's toilet, of any make and options, when an errant breakfast burrito has made you slide down a 40ft ladder and speed waddle to a 200 degree, actual shitbox
