Our winter project is finally finished. It only took 9 months and a lot of blood sweat and tears, but mostly tears. We test drove it at the end of August with a few minor issues, the issues have been repaired and we were able to take it out for the first time on Labor Day. She runs about 50mph on a fully rebuilt 430 Lincoln engine. The ride and the wake is a little bit different then I thought it would be. When you turn, it rolls on the sides, and water comes in the boat on tight turns, and the wake comes off the sides of the boat like rainbows. It's such a relief to have it finally finished and able to enjoy.

:thumbsup :thumbsup

Any cav plates on the boat? If so, how do you have them set? Even with bottom? Something other?

Maybe post some pix of the bottom at the stern. Somebody maybe has some suggestions on the setup.

Bitchen boat, good job!

Thanks CC,

You have a good point. Unfortunately the cav. plate is fixed. I will need more seat time to figure it out. I think the rudder might need to be re-thought, and the prop cavitated once in rough water (we test drove it at lake mead in the afternoon). We're going to take it to lake Irvine Regatta in October, it should give me more time to work out Kinks, and try a couple different props.

Thanks
Matt

Also I was wondering if anyone knows what kind of Boat this is? I Bought it from some guy who was selling it on the side of the road. He had no idea what it was, and the pink slip says home made. Any help would be appreciated.

Nice job on the resto and getting it on the water. The back looks a little more rounded than a glenn L: but best guess from me on that too. Here is a picture of mine, looks the same from the side profile

Yes, the wake is crazy. I thouht it would lay down the faster I went, but it stays about the same at any speed.
