Tom or any other gurus...

Curious as to what it would take to set my pump back? The boat is a 2001. What are we looking at (no I will not do this myself) labor wise and dollar wise? Is it worth the investment?

Barry, generally speaking and considering the current power plant and that hull ,In my opinion its doubtful you would expirience a significant performance gain or advantage with a set back considering the amount of work and effort to do it Tom

Nothing really, just wanted to know if I would gain anything by setting it back.

Barry the last thing any of us should do is make our "care free lake toy" into a PITA ;) , or at least a "deal" where you spend the balance of your summer trying to get "the set up" right , heres a link below (by Greg Shoemaker)with some info Josh and I found recently when trying to help a guy in AZ who bought a similar boat to yours with a setback (who was expirencing MAD porpoise issues") Tom

Tom,

Barry just like hearing you back and pump. You better watch out. Next thing you know he is going to be calling you breathing heavy in your ear:D

I thought about adding one of those bolt on ride plates, but the masses say that they do absolutely nothing for performance.

Barry if you were to add one it would have to be done right and a shoe machined into your intake.

Or an outdrive. :skull
They have there place in boating. On some stretch of the river they aren't practical. Oh and :fingers::party2::blah::blah::blah::D

Now on a 25'er or bigger djunkie may have a point. I prolly would end up with an Arneson drive over the standard OD. Seen to many of my friends take out a Bravo with the HP we be running.
