So few people giving me crap over my few Milwaukee tool purchases, ( good natured of course).
Well today at a show i work on it was decided to remove the glass that covers the LED floor on the new set,
Well that mens that contestants will now be standing directly on the plexiglass covers, ( which they are designed for) but they will get scratched and have to be polished out, Well it turns out that Milwaukee just so happened to make a really nice orbital polisher,
So even thou i wasn't planning on buying anymore tools i need this, and had no choice but to get it, :)
Now to figure which packout case to fit it into,

If you spend 400$ on packouts you get $150 off currently. Filling a cart on HD.com as they don't have enough of the deep organizers I use the most. Easy in store pick up or ship to home. Some good tool deals going currently also. But the Milwaukee rep told me Nov 1st should be some even better deals.

How did that work out? Did you buy colored pads or just used a polishing compound

Run us through your process.

Buy 2 5amp batteries for $199 and its free. Or 3 6amp

I got it few months ago and it was $279 with 2 6amp and charger. Works great. Will go up to 100 psi on my dump trailer tires. Have used it a lot.

I just ordered 7 packouts and got $150 off. Was $410 before tax $260 plus tax. 4 deep 3 regular organizers.

Joined a packout group on FB. Apparently we missed out on a glitch Sunday when the deal went live. If you spent 400 or more it gave you 300 off. They fixed it by Sunday afternoon. But people are posting pics of there purchases. Some really scored.

I love my Milwaukee stuff! But don't try to use their M18 4" angle grinder for masonry work, that thing eats batteries like nobody's business lol! Bought a corded milwakee 6" grinder instead, right tool for the job!

For polishing though, I bet that tool uses way less power than the grinder and is perfect !

I bought the milwaukee pads, then got the Novus compounds, hopefully that will work.
Novus is the way to go, but if your are talking about polishing boat acrylic windshields be very carful. Hard to not get swirls. Often you can't see them until you get out in the sun. Novus works so good I just polish them by had with a cotton applicator sponge pad.

That 4" grinder also shuts itself down on deep cuts. Smart sense or something like that they call it. The Dewalt equivalent is much better. The milwuakee batteries are definitely inferior to Dewalt. One 8 amp battery barely made 1 hole with the superhawg. They recommend the 12 amp but I have had bad luck with them and they are $259 a battery.

I ordered $900 of stuff for $300 on Sunday morning for same day delivery, but within a couple hours they cancelled the whole order.

So I placed another order for pickup, but by the time I got to the store they had cancelled that one too.

I ended up buying the order anyways since they had already picked it, and at least got the 150 off 399 pack out deal.

My packouts arrived today. Ordered just before midnight last night.
Bought a bunch of other stuff at Home depot yesterday and today on the sales. Got 10 of the nice milwuakee tape measures for $70. That deal if you buy 5 or more 2 packs you get $30 additional off. You can mix and match with several other items.

The best deal I have seen if you need batteries and have dewalt as your platform. Is this one. I have 5 of these drills already. But one of my guys needs batteries. Choose the battery as your free tool.

I’m pretty sure at this point your are considered a spokesperson, Dan. There is no way you should be paying for any battery operated Milwaukee tool at this point.

I’m thinking you should be receiving a pallet of the goods per week?

Well look at that. Looks pretty damn good in the packout, still have plenty of room for cutouts for the pads and polish compounds

Hey Dan where are you getting the foam for the packout’s , I thought it came with but not the case. And then do you trace the tool/item with a silver sharpie and use an X-Acto to cut out or I thought I read in one of your posts (can’t find it now)about using a router. If you do use a router what bit are you using so not to melt the foam. Looks awesome what you have done 👍🏻!!

I got the foam from Uline.com it comes in sheets,
S-24285BL/R
S-24286BL/R
only thing i use x-Acto for is cutting the outside shape of the foam
lay out the foam and then cover with painters tape, Then draw outline on painter tape,
if its not a big tool then i use an upcut bit, 1" or 2" depending on how deep i need to go, using the milwaukee ( of course) compact router hooked up to a vacuum
zero melting issues, speed 4 seems the best, if its a large tool cutout then i do the outline with router, then cross pattern in area to cut out, its easy to just peal back the interior with your fingers since the router set the depth,

Thanks for the response Dan, I was more looking for the thick stuff for the packout boxes but found out last night they can be ordered online for about $25.00 per two piece foam kit.
