When do you start the season prep.
I usually wait until end of September. Ended last season with most everything running. I got an electrical issue with a 450 I have to figure out. I need to rebuild the shocks on the buggy. Other than that it normal season prep maintenance.

I would like to finish my fuel station on my enclosed, add more lighting and an awning to it.

September as well. Probably boating until mid Oct.

Have new front shocks to put on the RZR, and a couple other small things. Car is mostly ready to go. Kids quad is ready to go.

o_O so behind... was supposed to start in april / may and haven't done a thing.

buggy: Motor and trans need to come out and send trans in for a refresh. Might do the same for the motor, service CV's and back in action.
trailer: fuel station pump needs to be replaced or troubleshoot... stopped working when I went to pull some gas out of it a month ago.
moho: need new house batteries, and replace one inverter

Hoping to start chipping away at it by mid/late august

😢

when it rains it pours... all part of this crazy game / hobby
Its funny, I would complain a bit but for the most part not blink an eye at spending whatever money on desert toys or boats, etc... But if my wife wants to buy a new couch or something " I dont want to spend money on that right now" or "thats to expensive, i dont want to spend that much " are my famous last words 🤣

Motorcycle is year round since we ride and race all year. RZR will get prepped the end of this month or 1st week of September, boat will get service end of October after final lake/river trip.

Really want to put some Eibach springs on the RZR this summer since we’re at just under 1000miles on stock springs and I’ve heard nothing but good things about them.

Started this week.
RZR - in process of doing service, plus working out a few bugs (has a hard time starting on first start after sitting)
Quad - serviced last year, only 2 trips. So nothing major, maybe new shoes

Kids 90 quad - need to clean and sell

He'll, I was gonna pull my trans and have it inspected refreshed. And then figure out what I wanted to do with the motor. Running out of time, Damm river keeps getting in the way

CJ7 needs -
Winch install.
Adjust rear drum brakes.
High beam switch needs replacing.
Still needs fuel sending unit.
Air down to 15 fronts and 10 rears.
Spare tire has a slow leak. Still...
Oil change and service chassis.
Lube/service high lift in case needed.
Heater fan switch knob fell off.
That's about it.

Run what you brung.
Usually if I start prepping, I’m spending .
So I wait a week before the first trip , so I can’t get to involved. Just the basics.
Sand car . Was going to do a bunch of stuff, this year . Now nothing ,
Bronco needs a new ac and blower fan.
That’s it,

I’m still enjoying the boats.

I’m finally going to sack it up and buy 5 new BFG 40’s for my jeep that goes 100 miles a year 🤦🏼‍♂️$$$. It needs a parking break so i’ll probably do a line lock.

Selling the kids KTM dirtbikes- 50E(electric) and a 65

Can-Am shocks are currently getting rebuilt and adding a valve to each reservoir. I did the Eibach springs swap 2 years ago and I HIGHLY recommend it.

Kids rzr200 needs window nets

My dirtbikes need services and tires crf110 and Crf450RX

Converting daughter’s quad from thumb to twist throttle.

Rhino needs full service

Not much really😆

Looking to buy:
-CRF150R or CRF150RB 2018 ish or newer.
-Rzr 900 or 1000 2 seat with a full cage already installed. Ideally it would be a Canam but they are more $ and less available on the used market.

Started my prep over the weekend since it was mostly rainy out, spent the weekend in the garage...noticed this nice crack in the headlight support bracket...still trying to decide if I should just have someone weld it up in place for me (yes I dont know how to weld) or if I should just buy the part and replace it...

Not trying to hi-jack anything but any suggestions to make life easier when installing a paddle tire on a motorcycle? I have installed them on Quads, SxS and sandrails but this will be the first dirt bike. 18 inch wheel off a 2022 Yamaha. Daughter says she is ready for the paddle after a season at glamis with the dirt tires.

Best to just buy another wheel for the paddle. I know it can be pricy but that the easiest way. Its what I do with out dirt bikes. Easy swap

I dd the same thing, when I used to ride bunch I ended up buying a new wheel set off of Ebay.....much easier than swaping and pnching the tube or having to drop it off a a local MC shop to do each time.

This is what I did with my CR500 that I also raced in open class. Going to Glamis was a simple wheel change.

CVs I need to tear down inspect them I do that yearly. I already rebuilt combo spindles this past year. I hate cvs but it’s only yearly. I just dismantle drop in diesel to clean inspect degrease.

Since I don’t have a shock or forks right now I used the time to get it street ready again with taillight, blinkers and now just need to mount the plate. Little custom light set up with flush mount indicators.

Not trying to make anyone jealous with my garage workshop set up.

I accidentally added this X3 to the garage a few weeks ago, it was a deal I couldn’t pass up. It is the 2 seat version of the canam we already have.
I dropped it off at Motor Worx and I am having them flash the ecu because it has an aftermarket power steering that the computer doesn’t recognize. That is the only shop I really trust for utvs.
While there, I decided I didn’t have time to prep another car so I left it to have a full service which is all fluids, plugs, belt, lube.

Annual service is the only thing left. I will start that this weekend.
Upgraded the seats from stock, added quick releases on all harnesses so seats can be switched as needed and added a slider on her seat. Daughter is now strapped in tight and can do what is needed safely.

Did you drill through the cage to add the eye bolt or welded it?

Tires and wheels ordered last night. 2 weeks until the local offroad expo, I plan on grabbing a few things there. Starting to plan some local desert rides for October, and have trips to Glamis scheduled for Nov/Dec.
