I haven't been to Seafair for a few years. You could post your question on www.NWOffshore.com and I'm sure some of the Seattle people could fill you in on the best viewing. We used to go to watch the Blue Angels by boat, but unless you are in a large boat on the logboom it's hard to see much of the races by water. Sorry I can't be more help.

I went there years ago and had a great time! Still have the sticker on my tool box that Art O Boy Oberto gave me! We watched from the public bike path along the lake. Lots of trees for shade and still a good view. Lots of people also so get there early for a good seat if you plan on watching form shore.

I've been going on and off from the late 70's. In 1 word it's a ZOO. Actually, SF runs for 3 months culminating with SF Weekend which is always the 1st weekend of August. The BLUE ANGLE aren't coming this year because of the budget cuts. They still have an air show on the scheduled. EVERY time I'VE gone I've seen a boat sunk because of real sloppy water. The last 4-5 years the OUI patrols have been REALLY BAD. 200-300 tickets. Water canons & water balloons are the norm!
