Sea Food Recomendations?

Were headed to Newport beach for a week and would like to get some good seafood. Living here in the Desert there is no such thing as seafood. Can I get some recommendations for some nice restaurants?

Newport Landing is right at the ferry and you can sit outside. Dinner is good and its a great lunch place. For old school atmosphere you can't beat Woody's for drinks but I've not had dinner there in years. Speghetti Factory is one of the best.

Great places all over Newport but take a drive north on PCH to Sunset beach and go here, you'll love it, especially if you like king crab legs :thumbsup

There's a place called Cannons in Dana Point that overlooks Dana Point harbor. The food is good...the view is much better.

Ive had some good meals at the Cannery.I havent been there in a couple of yrs though.http://www.cannerynewport.com/ .Billys At The Beach has GREAT chowder, kind pf a casual place.If you like dive bars go to Blackies and get a special for lunch.http://www.blackiesbythesea.com/ Stop by The BeachBall and Mutt Lynches for a cocktail also.All these places(bars) are on the boardwalk/oceanfront.Ride your bikes or walk if you are gonna go drinkin.Do NOT drink and drive in Newport.Very bad idea.

Blue Water Grill in Newport

Blue Water is very good especially patio seating, great atmosphere. Just around the corner from them on Lido is a good lil Italian spot, Sabitino's.

I heard about a place in Newport that had a weekly special of freshly deceased Colorado river carp served on a bed of rice or black beans....comes with fries or onion rings....your choice of dressing and drink...

I think the Chart House in Dana Point has better food then Cannon's....and the same view.

Harbor Grill in the Dana Point harbor has the best seafood, cooked over an open fire....

Villa Nova in Newport Beach is one of the best Italian places in So Cal, and it's right on the water in the harbor....I haven't had seafood there.....I always go for the veal or the pasta.
