Have I mentioned this country is doomed? About ready to homeschool my kids. The Covenant school is exactly the type of place I would have my kids if we lived in Nashville, which my wife is set on doing at some point.

"Mass shootings have skyrocketed" Well, when you change the definition to 4 or more injured..... Happens almost every day in Chicago, but that is not newsworthy for some reason. The Federal Bureau of Investigation doesn't have a mass shooting definition. Instead, the FBI defines "mass murder" as an incident where four or more people are killed, which can include gun violence.

When you think “mass shootings” you think of a mall or a school, not some inner city drug war drive by the baby sitter across the street gets scared and bumps her knee makes 4 injured.

The FBI acknowledges 61 "mass shootings" in 2021, the last year to have complete (by their definition) records.

Hale was shot dead about 14 minutes after the initial 911 call came in, according to police.

Hale, who lived in Nashville, had legally purchased seven guns from five different local gun stores, the chief told reporters Tuesday.

Hale was under a "doctor's care for an emotional disorder," Drake said, and Hale's parents "were under the impression that was when she sold the one weapon" they believed Hale owned.

"As it turned out, she had been hiding several weapons within the house," Drake said.

Investigators searched Hale's home where they seized "a sawed-off shotgun, a second shotgun and other evidence," according to police.

"We do have writings and a book we consider to be like a manifesto," the police chief told ABC News' "Good Morning America." "We do have a map of the school, where it was diagramed how she would enter and how she might proceed to take on potential victims."

Drake had told reporters on Monday that the suspect was female and identified as transgender but didn't immediately provide more details. A police spokesperson later told ABC News that the suspect was assigned female at birth but pointed to a social media account linked to the alleged shooter that included the use of the pronouns he/him.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre also stressed that Congress must take action on gun legislation.

"What we need from congressional Republicans is courage," she told ABC News' "GMA3" on Tuesday. "What do you say to those parents? What do you say to those families? You can't say to them, 'There's nothing else that can be done.' That's not what their job is as legislators."

The "majority of Americans want common sense gun safety laws, they want to see [an] assault weapons ban. These are weapons of war," she said. "The president has done his part. We need Congress to do their part."

On the radio today (Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show) one of them mentioned an unconfirmed rumor that the other school had a "Resource Officer". I'm sure it will come out in the days ahead. It could have been something as simple as glass or steel entry doors.

Thank God I've never been in the position. Part of me would be upset at the idea of it being made public, but part of me would also take a sick enjoyment in watching the one who killed my loved one die.

And each paragraph opens up another can of worms - it's all over the place and demonstrates how angry the writer is with anyone it/that doesn't agree with - it speaks for trannies too: Trans people are regular human beings, with our own thoughts, desires and motivations. There’s nothing inherently violent about being trans, and the actions of one member of a demographic is obviously not representative of the rest of us. Ban assault rifles? I believe most in favor of that don't even know the definition of an assault rifle. An assault rifle must have the ability to be both fully automatic and semi automatic. Seems the rifles used by these pukes are all semi automatic. So, the capacity of the clips/magazines may be problematic. I recently read some of the AZ gun laws. Appears AZ limits the capacity of rifles to 5 rounds, regardless of their style, AR or otherwise? BTW - AR stands for "armalite rifles" one of the long ago manufactures. AK-47? The A stands for auto, the K is the first letter of the Russian inventors last name, 47 is for 1947 the year it was developed. I'm sure there are many others on here much more knowledgeable than me on this topic.

Let's not forget that NPR said that trans people need to "take up arms" and "protect themselves" last week. Combine that command with a 28 year old that went through puberty as a female and is now most likely on testosterone to transition and you can expect bad results. Many men with high testosterone have rage issues. Imagine having do deal with testosterone suddenly without having it all your life. Sad deal all around but do not blame my guns (sitting at the bottom of a lake in my former boat).
