School me on playa de el carmen

Will be going to playa de el Carmen last week of June. Taking the kids 16 and 18 yrs old looking for all inclusive with nice beach. Let me know your experiences and recommendations.

We stayed at the Paradisus last time we went and really enjoyed the resort and food it had to offer. Stayed on the adult only side but both resorts are connected. We did not enjoy the beach at all as it was literally tons of seaweed. They attempted to clean it up everyday but it was still bad. Common problem we heard for playa Del Carmen? That was October, not sure if the problem is year around?

Head south to swim in Cenotes. We did Dos Ojos. Pretty amazing. Akumal is a bit south from there but has a great reef you can snorkel from shore.

No way. Tourist trap. Mexican Disneyland is what we call it.

We did X-Caret as adults. It was fun. It was indeed full of tourists. Their version of the Lazy River was pretty awesome.

My daughter honeymooned at xcarat she thought it was amazing. She enjoyed the meals told me I should go.
