That is Howard Haigs boat, (Todds now). unless he recently sold it but i doubt it.

It's a 490 big block, 1049 hp @15#. I loosened the preload on the waste gate springs to keep the boost down so it's less than that right now.

1977 21RC. Old ski race boat, was one of Billy Dunsmores "Suddenly" boats. We had it a couple years with stock power.

1984 21RC with Twin Turbo. My Dad's the original owner and he still has it.

1985 10'er. Had this a little over a year, some day she'll look just like my Dad's 21RC, minus about 1000hp.

No, that motor is staying in the red boat. It will do a buck with the wg tight and race gas, right now as it's set up it does 90 easy. We can run Avgas with the waste gate actuators loose. I don't think there is a whole lot of difference between going 85 and 100, as far as the ride and the free facelift.....our stuff doesn't get leaned on much, just short bursts.

The new boat is getting the 750 hp 9# boost EFI twin turbo motor. The rigging is set up to go fast but if we get 80-85, I will be happy. 37 gears....maybe when we hit the lottery we can put an 1100 hp motor in

Todd still has the carbon and red 21. He brought it to puddingstone, but it didn't pass boat inspection. The thing still looks new. Been years since its been raced though. I remember just about shitting my pants at the start every race when howard would pull up to the start line drop his skier throw it in neutral and rev it till the green flag dropped. damn that thing was loud
