My 68...
Nice! will it be ready for Labor Day?
Some day I will go through my pix and find all the Schiada pix and put them in one place, here's one for now.
:thumbsup
Hey River,
Do you have a higher resolution copy of the red/gray 21RC #627 boat? I think that is a pic of my boat. If you do, could you forward it to me?
That is Howard Haigs boat, (Todds now). unless he recently sold it but i doubt it.
There were two of them. Jim owns the 1991 (pictured) and the newer boat (late 90's) is the one you are writing about. Jim certainly owns Howard Haigs old boat.
so he bought it from John Cummings?
Coming Soon !:moon:
Good stuff TerryBoat #47 at the river.....
Here's our 91 21RC. It should be at the regatta on the 12th.
JIm, what are you running for power in your red Schiada?

It's a 490 big block, 1049 hp @15#. I loosened the preload on the waste gate springs to keep the boost down so it's less than that right now.
Are you installing that motor in your new Schiada?
What speeds are you getting with that setup?
Brent
With all that said, the motor is the least most expensive piece to building a Schiada. All the other parts needed add up to way more. :blah:No, that motor is staying in the red boat. It will do a buck with the wg tight and race gas, right now as it's set up it does 90 easy. We can run Avgas with the waste gate actuators loose. I don't think there is a whole lot of difference between going 85 and 100, as far as the ride and the free facelift.....our stuff doesn't get leaned on much, just short bursts.
The new boat is getting the 750 hp 9# boost EFI twin turbo motor. The rigging is set up to go fast but if we get 80-85, I will be happy. 37 gears....maybe when we hit the lottery we can put an 1100 hp motor in

If thats your dads boat you are an Anderson.
That hasn't been Haigs boat in well over 10 years. They sold that to John Cummings who then sold it to FriznJim. After that red Schiada they built a red all graphite and carbon fibre boat and have had quite a few since then. I don't think they even have a Schiada anymore...the last one they had was the 21 outboard. now they have a red 21 Force with a 300 on it.
i was thinking it was the hull it self. 40kWith all that said, the motor is the least most expensive piece to building a Schiada. All the other parts needed add up to way more. :blah:
I did'nt know Lynch's boat had a single skag ! Now I do.
