https://phoenix.craigslist.org/wvl/boa/d/goodyear-1979-schiada-21-rc/7146690436.html. Not my boat. Figured I’d post the link
That is a smoking deal if it legitimately hasn't seen water or elements for 28 years. Damn barn find right there.
That's what I was thinking but for the price. I'm sure your still way ahead unless there are other issues. So who here is from Beverly Hills?Hope he plans to blueprint the bottom. It's been sitting on those bunks in the same place for 28 years, that bottom can't be straight.
Lol, I dont know. In the time I talked to the seller and found tickets to Portland someone already committed to the boat. That's what I was thinking but for the price. I'm sure your still way ahead unless there are other issues. So who here is from Beverly Hills?
A lot of unknowns about that boat because of the age and sitting on the trailer for so long. (I know there is a joke there somewhere LOL!) The bottom was my first concern. How the boat is rigged? Size of Cav Plates? Strut angle? V-Drive placement? Front bulkhead and stress cracks? I personally would remove the windshield, deck cleats and cap the boat. Everything adds up FAST! Don't ask how I know.![]()
There's a lot of truth to that. Problem is I can't leave things alone!OR you could just change the fluids, fire it up and go drink some beers. You act like Schiada owners ever take them off the trailers anyway. Who cares about strut angle or v-drive placement anyways if its just gonna rest on the bunks!

Lol, damn it, missed it by "that much"

Wow that's a memory from my childhood. Our very good friend Bob had this boat built brand new. Was called Red Bare-n. I have pics somewhere. The Interior was originally tan then. It had a Twin Turbo Bob Lambeck engine. My Dad and Bob ran up and down the strip in it for years racing anything they could. Sold it late 80's. Ran 90's on the gun.... was a legit piece back in those days. I loved that boat.
