Looking to see if anyone knows of a mobile mechanic that has a MerCruiser Scan tool near Parker AZ?

Buddy has a Magic Deck boat that will not rev past 2k RPM's. Someone said it was the water pressure sensor, bug we changed that and still beeps. The boats in Havasu Springs. They have a 3-week lead time to look at the boat.
Its a 496 HO Motor

Any ideas will help.

If desired, there is someone on Ebay that rents out a Rinda Diacom Marine diagnostic cable and software with Adapters that will read the 496 PCM.

Also, while you're in under the engine hatch, may as well double check the condition of the Idle Air Control Valve (IAC) to make sure it hasn't gotten overheated to a near melting point...It happens...

Drive fluid was low we checked that and it's still doing it.

When mine did that, it was the heat exchanger end caps and gaskets! Full of crud and corrosion.

Blocks the flow to the exhaust manifolds which then throws a code for exhaust manifold temp.

Impeller is a given. Always back flush to make sure there is no debris or pieces of old impeller if it came apart.

Just replaced it in October. Was hoping to get a year out of it.
Have put over 75 hours on it since though.
Always back flush em, even if it looks fine coming out.
