Now, some of our roads aren't much better than trails. With the cost of fuel, this is an interesting approach...

It looks like a pregnant Kawasaki, but it does have heat and AC I would think. Could keep it in the bed of the pickup as a spare I guess. I didn't know weather to laugh, or ask him how much he needed to trim the fender wells. Have to be honest, it did make me smile.

Finnegan did a monster miata with a lift, nitrous and bigger tires. They actually do ok offroad. The smart car is the same size as the old RZR 800 so kinda an interesting approach

I saw a black one yesterday in Newport Beach. It was bad ass and all black, lifted and on Method wheels.

Not my style but kudos for the imagination.

Years ago I had a boss that no one liked well he got a smart car and was so proud to show it off me and the boys were outside eating our lunch and said I wonder if we could pick it up and move it well about 10 of us moved that thing in between 2 trees the look on his face when I sat in my truck and watched him come outside to leave was fucking priceless

A guy in Oklahoma was doing the Busa swaps years ago. I think it was Sinister sand cars? His were street toys, and the tires were shifted back a bit. Lifting it may make the tire placement less obvious though...honestly, never thought to lift one. Hell, I don't even know where the motor is or what they have in them. Something to do later today...research;)

Dakar edition.
Saw one like that in Temecula. Lift, tires, lights, bars. Kinda cool in a perverted way.
It’s the next trend, Rallye.

That custom car show on netflix built one in temecula for one of the wineries. Dofo if im not mistaken. I believe @bonesfab knows 1 or 2 of them

There's one with paddles that has been ripping in glamis this year
Looks more like getting around the sand drifts in the flats than “ripping in Glamis” even still, mad props, looks fun!

That's how RD's speed car will look...

Doors, heated seats, power windows, killer stereo. And a hidden spare tire rack! 👍🏼😁

I was going to build one of those a few years ago, I liked the idea of it being so strange and unique, decided not to, but the bug of having a unique strange little 4x4 cruiser never left me so I got this last year instead. It is actually amazingly fun to drive. 3.5ltr, 215hp, for what it is It has some great off road capabilities as well, surprised the heck out of me that is for sure. 1999 Isuzu VehiCross.
Stage 2 and 4 class winner in the 1988 Paris-Granada-Dakar Rally
Class winner 1999 Australian Safari Rally.
I thought I would have issues with parts but there are a ton of parts out there for repair and off road upgrades.
