The Best part about the SSSS used to be the killer deals on riding gear.

But...

I would always get there Friday, before the gates open, and RUN to where they sold gear!

Most of what the have is last year's crap in XXX large and camo pink.

Anything Good will be in limited quantities and will be long gone by Saturday morning.

me too! Used to go to both the SSSS and the Chaparral Parking lot sale back in the day. Started when Chaparral was in the old 7up bottling plant. Back then the deals on gear and parts were unbelievable.

We have gone the last few years and each year its less and less buggy stuff. My car is a Raw Motorsports and Dana had been going with a few cars but last year he didnt. Sounds like Funco will be going with a good showing.

It's mostly because the price of a new Sand Rail is priced way beyond what the Average Guy can afford today. It's a niche market these days. Hell SxS prices have gotten insane the last 3 years.

And yes the prices have gone up, but also so has the performance. You can still go out and get a very capable car for $20k.

To build the latest and greatest 4 seater you are 70-90k.. more if you start getting into making more hp etc..

For gear, boots and helmets you'd be better off waiting for the huge Chaparral Motorsports sale Saturday Oct 7th. This is the first year they've had it again since 2019. The manufactures sell their overstock not local dealers selling their scraps at the SSSS. I can assure you manufactures are loaded with overstock in good sizes/qty.
