Recent strong North African storms and high level easterly winds have moved Saharan sands across the Atlantic Ocean and into the skies of the Gulf Coast states. It's very noticable at sunset, the dust is refracting sunshine in the red and orange spectrum, making for some nice shows.

I took this photo last evening as the sun sank below the horizon. Our view to the west across the lake produces beautiful scenes often, the last couple of days have been great.

It's also been bad in the last several weeks at GLOC. Thought initially it was related to fires.
