Went to mount the sand tires and noticed a ton of play in one tierod at the rack. Wheel moves about 3/4". I assume there is no way to tighten it up and the rack is worn out.
Any one installed a Rackzilla or Super Atv rack and has some feedback? Or do I just go stock rack at 1/2 the $.
Not looking to spend $1000 on a Gear One. I'll be getting a new machine in the next year.
2015 xp4 1000 eps with 2500 miles.

Can you determine if the play is from the inner tie Rod end or the rack itself? Tie Rods are an easy fix.

You may need to pop off the inner tie Rod boot?

If it is the rack I’d just get a take off rack on eBay or something if you are getting a new machine next year.

The super cheap replacement ones might be ok, but I have no idea.

What he said. If keeping it I would go gear one or shock therapy. If it’s the inner joint. Super easy fix and maybe 30$ in parts

Thanks guys. I'll pop the boot off this afternoon and take a look.

Ended up being the inner tie rod.
Got a new set from Super Atv.
Looks like a decent replacement. Well packaged and fast shipping.

Good deal. The OE inner joint should have a hex or slots on it to remove it with a wrench. It’s got red loctite on it. If it does not have a hex or slots, a quality set of vise grips will work.

Put some heat to it to loosen the red lock tite.

I had around 600 Race miles on a Rack Zilla with no issues but the tie rods are the weak spot. Never had one fail just watched it bend at the tie rod end. Sold the car with a bent tie rod may have happened after a roll over.
