I’ve got a little over 100’ of RV space on the side of my house, the last 28’ is grass and I want to dig it down 2-3’ , concrete it and put a 2 post lift back there. Anyone have a lift outside of their house and if so what kind of maintenance am I looking at to make sure it’s still functional in 20 years?

Why would you drop it to lift it?

The lift will stand 33” above my fence line if we don’t dig down 3’. And since I don’t plan on having a car on it while not being worked on, I’d rather it below the fence line

Outside you will need to protect the power head, the other building my shop was in we had (3) 9k 2 posts racks, Friday evening after cleaning up, my tech put an F150 on the far rack (lucky he actually racked the vehicle) anyways fast forward to Monday morning, I came into the shop and that F150 was all the way at the top of the rack, it had rained that weekend, the shop roof leaked, the water went down the rack to the power head turned the power head on, vehicle went to the top of the rack, breaker didn't blow until the hydraulic pump fried too........ Shocker, that's how I found out they don't like water, LOL!!!
