Riverside County deputy Isaiah Cordero was fatally shot while attempting a traffic stop in Jurupa Valley Thursday afternoon. The suspect was killed after leading authorities on a chase that ended on the 15 Freeway.

Sad deal with the loss of the deputy. If he were a youngster, his parents suffer this loss. If he's older, his family or offspring do as well...there isn't a good age at all. My brother in law started his LE career for RSO, and my first home was by the Jurupa sub station. The world has changed.

I looked at the map, street name and school sounded familiar. This was the street I'd turn on 22 years ago, everyday, on my way home.

I’ve never experienced so much police presence in my life. I was on the 15N at like 6th street when they passed us. I could tell it was a police chase from afar but immediately knew it was serious when I saw those bear cats barreling down the 15. It was honestly like a scene out of a movie.
