Curious why the Rothschild's continue to be an item of conversation when they're not even a fly turd spec on the global family wealth ranking and apparently haven't been a serious contender since the 19th century ? Apparently that old shroud of secrecy and hidden agendas still captivates the imagination.
Now the Waltons, that's some serious wealth that packs a punch.

I've read those same rumors of a combined family worth, but then there's some on RDP who still refuse to grasp that the Earth is essentially round-ish.
I'm sure there's plenty of nefarious cartels and similar operations with terrifyingly large combined assets who don't show up on any "World's Wealthist" lists, just not sure this family is still one of them and carries the clout they once did.
A shroud of secrecy might not inspire consumer confidence if you're a legitimate banking family --- unless of course you're not.

Not all wealth can be measured in dollars. I'd think that what we determine by finances to be the "big dogs", would trade money for power. Like people such as Gates. He's no farmer, yet his holdings include lots of farm and ranch land. Then, he makes fake food? It's not about the farm profitability, it's about controlling what is available.

I have neither money or power. My path most likely will never cross directly with a Rothschild or Gates. The course of many people's paths have been influenced though.
