...So I can’t remember the exact year of my initial encounter with Tom Arnold but maybe ‘86 or so...
...I had moved in with my first...did her in the backseat...girlfriend from way back in high school...This would have been 20 or so years after high school...
...She had a pretty decent apartment on Buffalo Ave...in Van Nuys Ca...These days I just refer to her as Toby The Terrible...A whole novel unto herself...Elton Johns song SugarBear was written about her and she alleges The Beach Boys “Fun Fun Fun”...till her daddy took her T Bird away...was also about her...One of those girlfriends you hope you never cross paths with again...
...Anyway...some time after I moved in with her...a big guy and a really pretty girl moved in next to us...Complete with Iowa liscense plates if I remember correctly???...
...Little did I know what was to come...He and I were friendly...he being Tom Arnold...Pretty sure the girls name was Denise...She ignored me like the plague???...
...I was pretty surprised when he told me he was a stand up comic...I just thought he was a big guy who was big time hyper...
...Well Denise didn’t last all that long...This is just speculative but I kinda thought he may have used up her credit cards so it was time for her to move on...

...One of his buddies another Tom told me that people would come to see his stand up but never come back as his routines were really crude and raunchy...I should have guessed this as he would come by and say some really out there stuff...The girl I was living with was getting her nails done and Tom walked in and matter of fact ly said...does she do penis’s too???...

...I think right after this period was when Toms Place became a crash pad for comedians...Most of that cast of characters I couldn’t place...but there was one guy who spent a lot of nights on the phone on the patio/front porch...he had a Scottish/English accent...and if it was who I think...he later had a very successful late night talk show???...
...So now is about the time Rosanne entered the picture...
...Tom came home one afternoon...high speed run down the driveway...I went down to see what’s up...He is really rattled...He hands me this note...Apparently Rosanne had just been to one of his appearances...The note said something to the effect of...To Tom Arnold...The funniest man I know...Love Rosanne...something like that???...Well Tom drops the note in the driveway and I went back and picked it up and gave it to him...
...From then on Rosanne was around a lot...I am not sure if at this point The Rosanne show was on the air...I think maybe not as she was still married to Bill Pentland and was driving a mid ‘80’s red Jeep Cherokee kind of vehicle...
...They would be down in the street leaning on her Jeep with Tom giving her his best loving sales pitch...She bit hook line and sinker...For weeks I pondered telling her...don’t do it...this guy is bad Ju Ju...You will regret it...
...Not sure of this sequence either but one evening Tom came over and said...Willie have you got a joint...I got a Hotel room for Rosie and I...we’re going to consummate this relationship...I had to tell him no as I hadn’t seen any Marijuana in 15 years...I tried to think of someone to call but couldn’t think of a soul...He had been wondering around in circles mumbling condoms...pot...condoms pot???...
...I guess sequentially she moved in after this...We got along fine...would sit on the steps telling stories...I wish I could repeat the best one I told her but probably shouldn’t...anyway her reply was...who did that for you...and I said oh...a girlfriend from a couple of years ago..(use your imagination)...
...I’m going to have to say that her show was already on the air...as sometime later Tom came over and said..:Willie...watch the show tonight...Watched it anyway so I didn’t think much about it...
...That night Toby and I were watching TV and the Rosanne show came on...Midway through the show as Tom was on camera in his Arnie charecter...either he or Rosanne said why don’t we ask Willie and Toby ...I can’t remember the the exact wording or what it was about ..but Toby and I were both startled...I dont know if we became by word only regular characters in the series or not???...

Yep, Forest's momma said it best - stupid is as stupid does. Some of her comments came off that she really didn't give a crap from the get go if they cancelled her show or not but the thing that sucks is the show employed a LOT of people from the other actors to every other person employed to make it happen which I presume is in the hundreds and it's sad they all lose their jobs because this dipshit can't keep her opinions and mouth shut on social media. I'm a firm believer in Hollywood shutting up and keep their personal opinions to themselves and just do their jobs.

I watched the old show from time to time and it was ok. She always bugged me a bit and my mom couldn't stand her so it wasn't exactly played every week at my house growing up. But I figured I'd check the re-boot out and we (wife and I) actually enjoyed it. And for those that would not watch it because of her political stance the show did a VERY good job with passing jabs both directions and addressing a lot of current issues (pos gay kid (or at least cross dress-ish kid), multi race family, Military service, muslim neighbors, ultra liberal sister, lack of health care, and basic low income family struggling to get by). I would bet anyone on here that could get over the "I hate that obnoxious chick" and actually watch the show may be surprised to see that the core of the show was truly about acceptance and getting along with those you may not necessarily agree with. I thought it was done quite well.

Was never a fan of the original series or of Roseanne in general, and I didn't watch the reboot for the same reason.

It wasn't going to last a full season, and I don't believe anyone thought it would. It started off as a project, to make a quick buck.

Rosanne knew what she was doing when she wrote that tweeter feed. I wouldn't be surprised, we find out later, the show was planned to end this way.
I suspect if you're a Trump Supporter, you'll be watching a lot of Rosanne re-runs in the near future, as the demand will be there.
