My kid got some hard root beer, I don't know if was Not Your Father's Root Beer, but I thought it was terrible, it tasted like toothpaste.

When I was a kid there was this place called "The Barrel", the small wooden building was even shaped like a barrel. Anyway they had Root Beer on tap and it was served in a frosted mug, best Root Beer I ever had, life's little pleasures. [emoji106]

I have been finding myself picking up a 6 pack every Tuesday, the Chevron across the street from my shop sells it. I can only have 2 that night then I go to have a couple more the next day and I find they are gone my wife likes it more then me.

For non-alcoholic root beer Henry Weinhard's used to be great and so was their Orange Cream Soda, but then they changed the recipe and substituted corn syrup for sugar and now it sucks.

In my opinion, the Coney Island hard root beer is much tastier than the Not Your Father's. Coney Island also makes a hard orange cream soda which is amazing as well. Both are super sweet, so I can only really have one or two before it's sugar overload.

I like IBC & Saranac the best. A&W at a REAL A&W drive up window service was the best ever. A&W in the bottle is OK same for MUG. Some of the micro root beers I got to read the labels. They tend to put wintergreen in it. That flavor over powers what I think root should taste like and I'll just dump the rest down the sink it tastes so bad. uke: Had a couple of hard Root beers but didn't care for them. Haven't tried "Not your Dads" though. I'll give that one a shot.

The alcohol containing root beers are pretty amazing.

I made some tasty root beer float cocktails.

3 parts Regular root beer, 1 part Captain Morgan rum, 1 part Rumchata. Over ice.... very tasty.

I've got a couple of them sitting in my fridge. Very tasty, but WAAYYY too sweet for me to drink more than 1.

Yeah, I was all excited to try it out from the last thread on here. Had one and WAY TOO SWEET! Still have a five pack in the pantry.
I'm thinking better of with regular root beer and a shot. Maybe someone who's had both Coney and Not Your Fathers can comment on the sweetness

My wife picked up a six-pack for the Super Bowl. Found it really sweet, I couldn't drink more than one. Word is, it makes great Root-Beer Floats.

The wife picked it up last summer and said "try this". It tasted just like root beer to me. I saw it was 6 percent alcohol and told he to be carefull it's not like drinking a CL this stuff will mess you up.
