Just for kicks I looked to see what rooms at Mandalay Bay were going for and surprisingly no deals to be had. Still 180 on up. I really didn't know what to expect and was curious if they were giving them away or the prices went up.

After living in Vegas for a number of years and literally never having to pay for a room if we wanted to do a staycation due to hook ups; I am always blown away at the room rates they get for the decent hotels on The Strip. We stay at a chic hotel in Aruba cheaper than it would cost at a comparable hotel in Sin City. :eek

When I was active in a roller Coaster enthusiasts club park attendance always went up after a fatality or accident.
No reason to run a special.

Odd. Mandalay would be last on my list to stay at now.

My wife now flies to Vegas every other week for work and this week it was hard to let her go. We always talk about being prepared, eyes on exits and doors, etc but this week I was very vocal about it.

We are going to be in Vegas this weekend for Monster Cup. I looked at Mandalay to stay, and the quoted me $130 a night Friday and Saturday. I always find it weird you can call at different times and get different prices.
I think we got comped at the Aria, but not sure.

I think I'd feel bad about making a trip to Vegas just for discounts in wake of what happened. Even if they were free. RIP

With 90%+ occupancy rates and no AirBnB competition, there's no need for massive room discounts in LV, even at Mandalay, methinks.

Mandalay is still my favorite resort, I'd stay there again, no problem.

I still like Mandalay Bay but not as central as others. My wife and I were comped a huge suite when we got married by my friend who worked there. It had a few bathrooms, full on bar, it was pretty nice.

You book thru an all inclusive deal from a charter airline. You get air, rental car and hotel. For around $380 all in. When you get to hotel. Slip girl at desk $50 or loser fag at desk $20 and ask what upgrades are available. The girl will usually move you too a base suite at The Hotel. Front desk can only give lounge freebies, but usual is a few extra free beer tickets for lounge.....

I just see no reason to stay there after such a horrific event to place there. There are such other nice hotels in the area.

Way before they defaulted to that. Not invented yet and besides, Grads wasn’t born yet.
It was Huraches and Pendleton's and stink finger from GF Brittany West who orgazamed on the Long Beach Cyclone.

Vegas is a joke with hotel rooms anymore. The 100 to 125 dollar room is now 150 to 200 a night when they add their "resort" fee. A bullshit fee that supposedly covers the free Wi-Fi, newspaper and water, gym, and pool access. I don't use or want any of this when I'm in Vegas but whatever.

As far as letting what happened in Vegas sway a decision to go there or go there to stay at the MB.... not gonna happen. My life is business as usual. I've always walked around in full security mode in crowded areas. I'm very good at it. Sometimes it's a fault because I can never relax till alot of time has passed. I will NOT live in fear (not saying anyone else is) after events like this. You'd never be comfortable living like that. Hell, the person sitting or standing next to you right now while you are reading this could be a crazy person, or someone on the brink of flipping out and taking out your whole office.

I've stayed at TI for work a few times and really liked it. The prices during the week are reasonable, it is under $115 a night including the resort fee.

The rooms are nice enough, clean, and the beds are good. There is a fridge included in the room you can actually use! Also parking is free. I can walk to my car from my room in under 3 minutes, and I can exit the resort and be on the 15 freeway within a minute or two.
