Updated Post, Shavers Garage Door did a great job

Looking to add a rollup door that separates my rv garage from the 2 car garage. I’m more than likely going to rent house out a little while both kids are heavily involved in sports for those weekends. Looking to see who has done this, who installed, and what kind of price . My garage floors are getting epoxied as we speak, interior paint in two weeks white. Looking to go with a charcoal or darker grey door. Any recommendations would be helpful. Widith is like 11.6 and height is like 9.3 .

Thx

I have done it

We used Rusty at Parker Garage Doors They were awesome.

Width on mine is 15.6" and hight was like 8.5 " I paid $2,800 in July of 2021 for a white door, I'm sure prices and labor have gone up.

Didn't you already have a thread asking on this topic ?

The only issue with mine and you can see in the photo is that my floor is sloped so there is gap on one side at the bottom. I just place a board on the other side when closed.

Thx, no it was someone else’s thread about openers and I asked the question. Just looking for a few more responses. I just received my quote yesterday from Parker, but waiting on hopefully a response to a question. Plan on getting a second quote.

Thx again

I've done two of them at my place in NV by myself. Ordered the 2500 series from www.rollupdoorsdirect.com. First one I did was 16' wide and 7' tall at about $1400 and the second one is 12' wide by 8' tall and was $1300. You can order pretty much any size you need. I picked both of them up in Anaheim to save on shipping.

Install is pretty easy. I did chain hoist units, but I believe they have powered units as well. Not sure you were looking to do it yourself, but this was a good option for me. Worked great.

Gotcha

Did they say the coper pipe coming off the water heater an issue ? It looks like it would be in the way of the door ? Maybe it's just the angle in the photo?

I got a estimate about 3 years ago for about $2500. At first they were saying I needed a fire rated door and it would be another $1000. I told them it wasn’t a separation from the house to the garage and the opening was already there. Lol

I’m going to cut the pipe, rearrange direction. I’m boxing in the water heater in a cabinet for a clean look with a few additional cabinets on that same wall in the 2 car garage

I was thinking about that option too, anyone have a slider barn door around 12’ by 9.5’ and use to separate toys from str’s

I’ve rented houses with no garage access and houses with access to all their toys. I kind of like how you’re getting this setup. Pretty cool 👍

I thought about doing it. But I had a few things in the way along the wall when the barn door was open. Couldn't use the electrical outlets....

We did ours this way with the because we really wanted to give the renters the two garage. I think they appreciate having it because there are always cars in there. The older snowbirds really like it.

You could have a Barn Door - Gate style fabled up in metal - you could use some expanded metal accross the top for air flow If needed

I know of a local guy Fabracator builds gates & fencing - not sure on cost
but
can also get it powder coated…

send me a PM if interested

I saw this at an open house and thought it was pretty cool, my width is a few feet wider and height is probably a foot or so taller. But if you know someone that can build and install , I would defiantly be interested

Just an update, Ernie from Shavers Garage Doors came out this week and installed my roll up seperating my 2 car from rv side. His crew did a great with the install and I’m happy with the way it came out. Curb Appeal did a great job painting walls, epoxy floors, and cabinets. Night and day difference from the dark brown walls
