I think 11:00, if you get there a little later he has a live band, they play mostly classic rock. :thumbsup

I've talked to old Hotboat people who have been there in the past and heard good things. I'll be out there right down the street with a group next weekend at the JW. What are Friday and Sat nights like?

Our location at the Village at University Park isn't open yet. It's called ROC's Firehouse Grille, Station 2.

I had some issues with the contractor and had to let him go.

After fixing all the problems, all under the concrete, we're rolling again.

The location is super accessible from I-10. We're on the southwest corner of Gerald Ford and Cook. If you take the Cook Street exit, go south one block...........there we are.

Hours will be 1130-0200 every day of the year with the exception of Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years days.

We're strongly considering opening for breakfast, the good homestyle food...biscuits, gravy, Chicken fried steak etc, on Friday-Sat-Sun.

Our landlord is a good guy, he actually wants us to have car/boat shows and live music.

Our newly projected opening date is late August or early Sept 2008. We gotta be open by 9-11 no matter what..........we're hosting a benefit golf tournament that day and the awards ceremony will be at ROC's Firehouse Grille, Station 2.

Our first location on El Paseo will be closed permanently sometime in August. We've come to an ammicable agreement with the new building owners (they're redeveloping the entire block) and made a decision to leave this August rather than when our lease ended, October of 2011. Our last day is gonna be a sad day for sure. We already have employees crying about it, real tears. It's was mine and Jayme's baby, made a lot of good friends and had a lot of good years business-wise. Damn, I'm getting kinda teary eyed just writing about it. Anyhow, this move will allow Jayme and I to concentrate 100% on Station 2, a much larger location with three times the employees. Finding more qualified employees with good ethics is gonna be a chore. Luckily, all of our current employees want to come with us, so we'll only have to hire 20-30 more.

Thanks for the interest....can't wait to get open and buy y'all a beer.

Damn TPC, after all that I didn't even answer your original question.

We're open at 1130 everyday. We used to do live classic rock on the patio every Sunday afternoon, but, it's just been way too hot for the band.

If' ya come down let me know, we can play "name that band in five seconds" for a beer or two.

Love to see ya and your bride.

Saw where your new location is gonna be this weekend. My wife and our two boy's spent the weekend at the Marriot Desert Springs Villa's on Cook St. this past weekend. We thought about trying your place out on Saturday night but we were burned out and kids were done. Ended up just ordering a pizza. Damn, it was freakin hot out there this weekend.

LOL, yes, it was pretty warm out this weekend. I'm thinking it's gonna be a really long, hot summer. More so than usual.

We tried to find you on Friday night?

Came up short. Looks like we beat you there or came buy to late.

Sat was a blurr. Boated up to Hedgegate and then Sun down to the Diversion Dam.

Saw the entire river. Fantastic.

My Brother in Law is Jeff and he is well known in the park for installing everyones roll up garage door. He has a double wide on the last street to the south.

Did you get a chance to see the blown water tank? Holy Crap.

Sorry for the thread jack....opps.

Sumbitch, sorry I missed you.

A blown water tank? LOL, I never heard about that.

Jeff? Is he the short fella on the back row? If that's him, he's a cool dude.

The summer is just getting under way, I'm sure we'll have another opportunity soon:beer

Yep...that's him. 1/2 the park loves him...LOL. And he could give a shit:D. I guess over the past 12 years or so he has helped Bob and Brandon out enough that he has gained a bit of respect from Bob. Total family affair down there.

He married my sister a couple of years ago at the Bluewater. I have known Jeff most my life though as we lived just up the street from him as kids.

oh and the tank....
It blew Friday afternoon around 4:00pm.

Holy shit. That thing did blow. Hope no one was hurt. From the pics it doesn't look like too much collateral damage.

Bob and Brandon are good folks. Hell, most the people there are just plain 'ol good people.

I know Jeff, met him a few times over some beers. He probably won't remember me.....he was slightly buzzed every time we met.:beer

I live in the back by the grassy little park.......they call it the new section. Next time you're there just ask someone where Roland and Jayme live and they'll point you in the right direction. I'll be the drunk guy in the golf cart:D

LMAO...That just about covers.....well....everyone.:D:D

Nobody was hurt. The insurance co. should have adjusted the truck with the windows blown out and flooded today. Nobody hurt.

Right... your coach is near the end of the little off shoot street? Blue? Sorry my Beer memory is fuzzy.:)

Were on the fence about buying something and I payed a bit of attention to whats there. I like the low river because it essentually private.

Jeff and my sister Suzanne will be back this weekend for their anniversary. If you see them chances are it will be buzzed. :D:D

This was my first low river trip. :beer

Ok, I think I'm confused. I've been to the El Paseo one, it's closing in Aug. You have one open now at Cook and Gerald Ford.......and a new one opening in Aug-Sept at Village at University Park? Is that right?

We were going to have two stores. The one on El Paseo and the one on Cook Street (due to open this August))

The El Paseo location had a lease good until Oct 2011. The new building owners (the same owners of the Gardens on El Paseo, the huge outdoor mall right down the street) ) want to get started on redevelopment of where our store sits. They own the entire block. After some negotiations, we've come to an ammicable agreement.......so we're closing this August which will allow the owners to get started early on redvelopment.

It will also allow Jayme and I the chance to concentrate 100% on the new location, station 2.

It's gonna be a sad day when we close our doors for good. Lots of good friends were made and good times had for over seven years. It's all good though. We have a new baby to groom now. It should keep us busy for a long time.

Hope this clears things up.

Sorry to hear about your EP location ROC! :( It will be missed, great location. Good news is we will still be able to hang at your new location! :D Definitely quicker access when traveling on the slab instead of the mountain route. Is the new place still going to be Fire apparatis theme? Are you going to have a brass pole in the new location? Not sure what anybody would want to use it for though. ;) Good luck and see you out there.

No worries on the closing down. Like I say, we came to an ammicable agreement.

As far as Station 2, yes, access for all river/lake goers will be super easy. Literally one block off the Cook Street exit.

Yes, it will be fire themed with authentic firetiques. That shit costs almost as much as the rest of all the equipment combined. Damn, can't wait to stop buying stuff.

Not sure yet on the brass poll, I may be creating more problems as far as the women go, if ya know what I mean. If we decide on the brass poll, it'll hang from the ceiling, which is about 30 feet high, and teminate about 10 feet off the ground.

I was eating breakfast at the Potato Shack in Encinitas on Sunday, I happened to be wearing a ROCS Firehouse T, while waiting for our table to be cleaned a guy sitting next to us says, "hey, ROCS is opening a new Restaraunt in Palm Desert". I proceeded to tell the guy that ROC is an Asshole but his wife is smoking hot. Not sure why I told him that but it felt good to say it... :D :D :D BTW, I think the guy is your Dentist, he has a Dental office just down the street from the Paseo store, he told me he was gonna inflict some pain on you... :thumbsup :D
