Half the calls show up as the same first 6 digits of my cell number. The other half are out of state, FL, NY, MN, CN etc. Credit Cards, POS Processing, Health Care, on and one..

I finally started reporting reporting the numbers... What a pain in the ass...

I get a lot on both my land line and cell phone. Now, whenever I get one on my cell, I add it to my contact list and name it "scam". I get so many that now I number them. This way when I get a call I can look at my phone and not answer.

All soliciting construction work. They hang up if you mention you are a contractor. I now fuck with them. When they give me the speal. I reply if you are so good why you cold calling for jobs every contractor I know is booked 6 months out. Or schedule a bid on neighbors house who will not be home wasting there time like they are mine.

I am getting roughly a dozen a day, from all area codes...funniest thing is when I travel I start getting them from the area code that I am visiting just amazing how that happens..I think I have 100 blocked or ignored numbers but they still keep rolling on in...they have thousands of numbers to call from. Something has to be done about it. The Do not call list works for legit businesses but not for the robo POS'

I get 5-6 a day on average. Nothing you can do until someone takes the phone companies to task for it.

It will probably never stop, since as far as I know, when you run multiple lines as a business, you pay 5 cents a call. Those robo calling centers pay a ton to the phone companies.

You’re not alone. It’s a bunch of BS why their isn’t a solution for this on the phone company side or well, I’d say Gov’t, but their “solution” is ineffective. I don’t answer my phone unless it’s a person on my contact list. The list is small, so basically I rarely answer my phone :) .

I am getting them as well. It has gotten to the point that I will not answer my phone if I do not recognize the number.
If someone leaves a voicemail, I call them right back, if not, I block them after the second call

I get 6 or 7 a day. Most seem to be about my "Approved" business credit line. most say something along the lines of: "I've got that $500,000 business credit line set up for you. Give me a call to let me know where to deposit the money". They try to sound like I know them. LOL.

I've been getting them too. Even blocking them on the phone only stops the phone from ringing, and they leave a voice mail. The key seems to be to listen to the end, then press 2 in most cases, to be removed from their list.

If the number is unknown or doesn't leave VM they get put on ignore list. If VM ends up being BS that number goes on ignore too.
I answer only known numbers 98% of the time:p:D

RoboKiller app. It’s pretty funny when they’re recorded and they get pissed after they figure out they are talking to a recording

I wouldn' be surprised if the robo callers developed the robokiller app. So now you pay them 2.49 a month for them to block there call

As far as I know they can't be stopped/blocked. They get numbers from Google Voice and the numbers can change every time they call.

I even get calls where no one's there when I do answer them.

Why should I have to spend more $$$ on an App, to stop business;s from bugging the shit out of me.

Maybe
Truth. After I registered it seems the calls tripled!
I think you might be right on this.

I got 2 today within a minute of each other. They were from different numbers (one Texas and one New York), but both had the exact same message from the same voice even.:mad:

How many of the credit card processing companys are there. Then there is the Google calls if you have a website.

How is it they are able to spoof phone numbers. They have no right having a person's phone number show up as thiers .

Sometimes I start talking to the person and then ask them to hold on and I set the phone down. I figure the more time of thiers I waste the better.

I have lots of fun with them. Blah Blah to the robot and then fuck with the human that eventually comes on. Everything from 'I love the smell of my own balls' to 'I love to eat pussy' I put a guy on 'hold' enough times the other day that i got conferenced into his next call. I started playing loud porn and saying I love the smell of my balls and would you like to smell my balls until the guy on the other end lost his shit. I have way too much free time on my hands.

Its pretty good, lately a few are getting by I'm thinking they use a random number generator so make sure you report it.
I had one the other day and told the guy what a shame it is that his parents probably had high hopes and how they must be so let down, should have just drown him in a burlap sack.

I get these calls from this Online Pharmacy. They must be the black market Viagera.. They are non stop all day long. This has gone on for about 10 years. I probably get 6-8 calls a day sometimes. Then they must give up and then a couple days later it starts all over again. I save the numbers as "FUCK OFF" in my phone. I wish I could turn these assholes in to someone. I have told them to remove my name. Told them they are calling a church. Said I work for the FBI. Nothing so far has slowed them down. Im going to step up my game after reading these comments. I have been way to nice.

Yea, they used to call me too...I'm pretty brutal, in a shopping market line I told one I hope his family dies in a fire, folks gave me lots of room after that, Lol.

I probably have more blocked numbers in my phone than actual contacts. They seem to come in waves for me. I'll get them for a few days straight, nothing for a few weeks, and they start again. A couple of times a month I'll check out VM from blocked callers and will have a few.

2 weeks ago I got a call that looked like a robo call. I answered and the guy said something along the lines of why did you just call me an asshole and hang up on me. I explained to him it wasn't me and likely just a robo caller using my number. He apologized and told me to have a good weekend.

And I just got my 2nd one today - Thanks for this.

Also, I have the Hiya app on my phone. Never messed with it much. What do these apps offer that just blocking the number won't accomplish?

Interesting side affect is sometimes the name that comes up will be some one that had that phone or number years ago, also makes saving numbers with the name quick and easy, I like the app.

Well, Mr Number hasn't been too effective. Any other apps that might work?

They use a huge database to preemptively block calls before you even get them.

You can’t easily block a number that’s never called you, because they use robo-dialers that spoof random numbers...

I use Robo Killer.
Haven’t had a spam call yet...plus it actually talks to the spammers and fucks with them, and records the calls so you can listen later.

It’s pretty hilarious to hear spammers get pissed off when they realize they’re being played by a computer.
