For the life of me I can’t figure out why people think “celebrities” have any sort of higher intelligence than the average citizen. All they do is “act” just like his rants the last couple days… they’re an “act.”

The capital hill “cop” standing behind him was a little amusing to me as well. Made sure he was right off to the side and completely un-obscured for the news cameras.

What I find amusing is he doesn’t come off as intelligent at all. He’s not articulate in the slightest. No deductive reasoning or ability to express where all this hatred comes from. You hate Trump. Got it 👍 who fuckin cares? 🤷🏻‍♂️ He is off the deep end of TDS and just spews nonsensical insults. No ability to substantiate the hatred or to actually back it up (I.e. racist, xenophobe, Hitler, homophobic, blah blah blah, yeah yeah yeah all the woke insults, got it.)

Ok little Bobby, anything productive to offer to the conversation? No? Cool, go play dress up, we’ll call you when we want the monkey to come entertain us.

He’s an idiot, but, we just watched the deer hunter last night and it was pretty good. Never seen it before.

I wish he would have just stayed out of politics and remained an entertainer. If he could have simply left us enjoying his movies of the past, that would have been great. He absolutely KILLED IT with his role in "Heat." That was an iconic performance that will now be lost and forgotten because of his current antics related to politics..... Oh well, whatever. 👎

I find it helpful to think of the Drama Nerds in high school whenever an actor speaks. Think about that for a minute, That is who these people are, they live in a fantasy world, they were the Drama Nerds who for whatever reason actually made it. They have no qualifications to lecture on any subject except pretending to be someone or something.

All anyone needs to know about this tool is that it's 2024 and he was wearing a mask OUTSIDE I guess they work on TDS about as well as covid. My only hope is that the 20 jabs he's undoubtably taken by now really do their jobs and finish him off.

And yet we all tend be far more lenient with our judgements of any actor or entertainer's political intelligence if their opinions and expressed views align with our own.
A chosen few, who expressed views appealing to the many, were able to attain positions of towering political notoriety.

I wished they all stayed in their lane and focused on being an entertainer and not politics. It’s just useless noise whether I agree or not.

Clint Eastwood is a great example of an actor who I cringe when he gets political. He’s still one of my favorite actors of all time.

Well, I wouldn’t mind another Reagan right about now.

I agree, actors by their nature are driven to seek out and maintain public relevance, their jobs depend on it. Really popular actors frequently get a pass for shitty roles simply due to their public appeal.
The challenge for the public, becomes identifying emotional and ideological sincerity from just plain acting for relevance sake.
When are they acting, when are they not ? But I suppose in that regard, what's the difference between a politician and an actor ?
In my opinion, mostly the stage. 🤨

"All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely Players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,"

As you said, the only difference is the stage, or scene, played by actors or politicians. We are their audience, deciding who's the hero or villain. We are also players, changing roles as our lives or surroundings change. As we change, the players on stage change, desperate to stay a star, for money and fame. "Improv" or well written script, the reactions are real because most players in the audience are independent.

Those who are most dangerous, are those groups that share a common script.

Me Too. I am torn, because Casino is my all time favorite movie, followed by Heat.

The guy keeps giving me more and more reasons to hate him.

I thought it interesting that he said he grew up in NY, lived his whole life there, and it was his city. Then tried to argue that Trump didn't belong there. Newsflash, Bobby, Trump was also born in NY and spent his whole life there. So why are you entitled to be there, but Trump is not? If being born there and growing up there is your qualification, I mean  I'm just amazed at the arrogance of that statement. The whole press conference was ridiculous. I didn't understand the purpose of it. I did find the reporter who called the bodyguards or whatever they were behind DeNiro perjurers and traitors hilarious.

That being said, to say he's washed up is not true. He's still working and doing quality stuff, IMO. Just because someone is old doesn't mean they are washed up.
