Went by it this weekend a couple times after skiing. With all the refrigeration sitting on the doc bar, the bar side of the dock fascia looks pretty close to the water.

Add 30-40 peeps? I say the fascia is in the water.
I think it would have been wise to leave the facia off the dock side for ease of entry, it’s going to be a pain tight roping to get into your boat. Also, it was always nice when the water was fucked up and someone would hop off a barstool to catch your boat before you slammed into the dock. Parking on the front side is going to be tricky at times...

It'll be interesting to see how it does on a packed weekend. Looks to me like it needs to be 12" more above the waterline. I agree with you.

We'll be back in March and this time I'll take pics. Wait until they load it with booze. I feel more flotation is needed. I have personally built two docks at Lake Mission Viejo plus a dinghy dock in Dana Point Harbor. I am no expert but have enough experience to look at the Roadrunner and think....we'll just try and sink it like Fox's in the early days. :D 🍻

😂 you know it’s pretty bad when you don’t need a level to see it slopes towards the building structure. I wonder if it’s ADA compliant 😀

I wish the new owners/builders well. I’m just wondering if this was an oversight? After putting in that kind of money I would want the bar floating 12” off the water minimum. Meaning 12” from the water line to the bottom of the facia.

I wish them well too.

I wonder if there is some sort of calculation from weight to buoyancy to level it out?

Maybe it's as simple as building it, adding all the operating weight and adding buoys until it's level ?

As a contractor, I'm wondering if the builder is reading this saying, "calm down assholes, we aren't done yet!" :D

Yes, it's a very simple calculation, the weight you need to float needs to equal the weight of the volume of water you displace.

So simple math, water weighs ~8lbs per gallon (rounded), so to float 8lbs you need to displace 1 gallon of water.

They can put deeper pontoons on the dock if they need more buoyancy.

I'm on Instagram with one of the owners but have not brought my comments to him. He owns a place up by the Dam and he could boat down by himself and look. Well that's if the river does not get any lower. Two feet under the boat in glass alley last Sunday.

I know that they have had engineering challenges and some protesting individual has caused them some delays but they are moving forward.

Not my pic , I left my phone at home.

Don’t want to be a negative Nelly but this ought to be interesting. The section on the left is close to water level, compared to the right side. How low will it go with people in there? Not to mention that area isn’t very wide for tying off & unloading/loading a boat.

And, although not yet set in place, bar equipment makes it look cluttered inside. We didn’t go in so could be an optical delusion.

Positive is it looks like bar stools /patrons will face the water.

Here is the answer from the owners about the docks.

Two guys standing outside Safeway the other day talking about it being low. I said. “we just noticed that.” Ooh boy did I get the stink eye, shut up bitch dirty look. 😁 That would normally send me in deeper but I was nice and let it go. I could tell he was pissed, as he barked. ‘we have a fix’.

Ya, good luck with that. Just do it right the first time.

I’m no engineer, my dad actually is, not that it means shit….. but that structure looks way too heavy for those floats. Foxs structure is skimpy in comparison. Road runner built a log cabin.

Good luck That upriver side will be under water with 100 people standing on it.

With current putting pressure on it. I’m guessing someone just “eyeballed” it.

I’m not going to lie. It looks nice and the decor fits.

Still wish the exterior fascia wasn’t there. I’d like to check on the boat in between cocktails. My DD’s boat that is!
My buddy says it looks nicer than before

Did the Roadrunner have bottle price drinks before the rebuild, or is it something new?😁

It’s really really nice. They have a lot of staff. Probably 7 bartenders at 3 bars. The pool is actually really nice. The bar is beautiful. There were probably 10 servers. It’s nice. It’s classy, it’s clean. Nicest place in Parker IMO. It’s going to be a great summer.

Hearing the same things as mentioned above.
Some of the Marina Manor crew went this morning. Great reviews!
Cool thing is my boys at Romer Distributing got the beer I sell in there.
Sales call for sure next Friday afternoon for sure when I get to the River!
I’ll be buying beers, so hopefully I’ll run into a few RDP folks and we can have a Dusty together!
