Driver & Cyclist gets into it . . . driver hits the biker, then gets out and stabs the biker to death.
Traffic on PCH both ways a parking lot for miles I hear.

I drive by there several times a.week and I can confirm a lot (not all just to be clear, but A LOT) OF riders on PCH ride side by side of don't get within 5 feet of the side. Driver will be prosecuted and hopefully go away for a long time. But cyclists on PCH need to think about the 3 ton vehicles behind 'em.

I drive through that intersection 3x a week. I have several Associations I work for in Laguna Beach. Crown valley is busy street and so is PCH especially
right at that particular intersection.

Some Cyclist's feel they are human powered and have the right of way...and...they don't. I fight the same bullshit in the Harbor with Kayaks and SUP's.
Unless you have a sail and your engine is off...get in line with everyone else.

One thing for sure and same with the pipe wielding dude on the freeway (5 mil bail)...this aggressive behavior is on the rise. Especially down here in south OC. Asshole central. Just try and back a Crew Cab truck out of a space at the Costco on Crown Valley and Cabot Rd. Aggressive drive arounds, just stupid.

They had to restrain the guy waiting on the Sherriff so he is likely the guilty party however then there is all the opinions above that also make sense.

I always have a knife. Except maybe on the boat in board shorts. 99% there is a knife in pocket. So I wouldn’t have to get out w one, I already would have one. If I was confronted, ready.

While I don't think cyclist should be dead, you can assume cyclist pissed off driver and not the other way around.
Murder is murder, but something triggered the outcome.

I take 101 everyday from LA Jolla to Carlsbad. It's shocking the disregard of death some cyclist have.
The guys that look 'LEGIT' are the ones that I watch out for.

If a rider does his best to stay in his lane I will absolutely give him as much room as possible. It's the ones who think they can literally block traffic that cause the problems.

Typically the mountain bike crew want nothing to do with the street or cars and do their best to avoid both.

Very sad deal.. The bicycle was a full suspension Mountain Bike. So I doubt this is gonna be a simple case of road rage against a cyclist. We'll have to wait and see, definitely more to the story than we know at this point.

I know there's always been stuff going down since the dawn of time, and we all used to mix it up a little.
But it just seems the switch flips a lot easier now . . . and in the blink of an eye it fast forwards to 'Defcon 5'.

From the news video it sounds like the MTB bike was stopped at a red light. The lexus rear ended him at speed throwing the biker into the air. Then he got out of the lexus and started stabbing the biker in the middle of the street until random people could stop him.
