If ya want one you better jump quick.. 144 slips went up. Over 100 sold first day.

Will most likely be sold out or damn near by the end of the day.

Call Jeremy down there on the quick.

So you have to purchase the license and pay the monthly rate? I probably read it too fast....and did not pick up on it...

Yes…it’s the way most work. In Texas I paid a lower monthly but much larger up front (think like $50k) This deal is a lower up front ($6-8k) for license (35 years) and a higher monthly.

You need to read the agreement for the Licensed slips. I bought one , its a large up front charge and still have to pay the monthly. The monthly is cheaper than just signing up for an annual slip or even month to month. There are some other attractive benefits.

I'm just wondering the odds of NOT being hit if you've got a lower odd numbered E Dock slip ? 🤔
Those just look precariously positioned relative to the launch ramp, hope I'm wrong. 🤞

Have always thought the drawback to Havasu boating is the day boating effect....pack everything up drop boat in and then pack everything back out each and every day... I would never trade the type of boating with your own dock/launch ramp in Parker for day boating in Havasu... If I had a place in Havasu....I would totally be getting one of these slips... be nice to drop in Friday and not take out until Monday.... or heck leave it in for a week at a time...

One of the great advantages of the Islander.
Plus if a storm hits, I am only a seconds away from my boat (when awake).

I’m betting some people from havasu marina went over to riviera marina. Buddy was on the wait list for 2 years at havasu marina. Got the call last week they have a slip open. Then Said they actually have a few for him to choose!

That is quite a convenience fee for a pond.

@RiverDave Does the riviera have power at all slips? Can you install a boat lift if you don’t want your boat sitting in the lake all the time?

Also are you buying or leasing these? If buying do you put insurance on the dock for any damage? If so how do you do that?

You’re not buying the dock. You’re buying the dock lease and when not using it have a few ways to offset the costs (rental program). If anything your boat insurance might need to be adjusted IF you plan on storing the boat at the dock. I don’t see most on this site doing that. Launch Thursday, retrieve Sunday type deal with only those nights at the dock.

Yes you can do a lift but you must go through the marina to do it. I was told when doing mine that ALL slips have power.

Same at the Landing. HUGE benefit. I never stress about when I'm pulling the boat out of the water. Stays in as long as I'm there. Most of our friends from the AZ side are done at 4:00 PM. It's launch ramp pressure.

I don't have a long term slip at the landing, but I'm renting one every weekend we are there, my boat or friends.

It's the best money spent every trip.

I believe only the premium ones have power. I know that mine does and yes I can put a lift in it. Although for my uses I'm not sure I'm going to do that, until the covered ones are available.

E4 which is one of their premium slips.

RD
Mine is a premium also with power and no winch around my slip (did not want a ankle buster anywhere near me). I am the fourth dock in from the gangway. You are almost directly across from me.

Wtf. Apparently getting in the list didn’t mean anything.

I couldn’t help but do the math to see if my 60’ dock is worth it, compared to the dock prices in this thread.

I have 60x15.

This means in comparison, my down payment would be 21k. My monthly would be $1500. In 35 years I would be paying 630k total payments, if monthly doesn't go up. AND I no longer have rights to slip after 35 years.

Currently my 60x15 is worth 200k. No monthly payment or dues. At the end of 35 years……. I can sell it. Or sooner if I choose. What will it be worth in 35 years?

I must admit…….. I am feeling pretty lucky to be in my situation. Just saying

I also have 2 power pedestals with water and power.

Same here, we are about $76k into ours at 32' by 32' with a hydralift, jet port, lighting, tv, fridge, dock box etc. On Havasu you dont have a choice than to go about it this way though since you cant have a home on the water.

Left a voicemail. Would've signed up on Thursday. Super frustrated and someone said bigger slips are gone already.

Did the people that bought lots get a slip with the deal or did they have to hustle like everyone else did just now that got one? I would hope that if you dropped a million on land you got a dock, it would suck if you did with the intention living and having your boat there and you didnt end up with one.

This was just phase one…there’s more being added. No idea on your initial question though.

Home owners got priority and I was like number 5 on the list. I started hammering them for a dock since the day I bought my lot and I was one of the first people to close escrow in the first phase. To be honest, it wasn't very organized, but I was on multiple peoples waiting lists and I called/texted monthly.

You are correct, there is a second phase of docks. The second phase is all covered slips and the house boat docks. Lease holders in the first phase of the marina are going to get first priority to switch over to second phase docks.

had a boat in a slip on a lift for 10+ years at kathryn's. Now I trailer and launch every time. I prefer launching to being in the slip. Both have positives and negatives but I like having the boat at the house and loading it at the house and cleaning it at the house in the shade.

Glad I do not like leaving boats in docks. My wife and would be on the trailer and home in 15 minutes.
The vast majority of people who jumped on these probably aren't leaving their boats in for months at a time.. Mine will go in on Friday night, and come out on Sundays or whatever our trip schedule may be. Only way it may become a long term left there thing for me is with a lift... Quagga mussels will fuck your boat up...I scrubbed the bottom of my boat in TX constantly...especially the AC raw water inlets etc.

Every scratch on my boats have been from docs. Easier for me to pull it out and back in the garage. I have also had some idiot steal things out of the boat.
