We started using the Riviera launch last year since it’s a little closer than launching at Marina. The Riviera launch has been fairly slow the few times we’ve used it and has been trouble free. We bought an annual pass this year before DS.

Fast forward to DS Fri and Sat.

Lot was full early, overflow parking up steep hill. Wife got golf cart ride down hill after launching from 1 of 2 carts which was great. But only 1 cart operating per employee on retrieval of trailer and wife walked the hill. She wasn’t happy. Recommendation , need golf cart shuttles if overflow used, especially 110 plus temps climbing that hill.

My issue was the lack of courtesy docks when busy, especially when the wind is blowing like it was both Fri and sat. Only the one dock was available, dropping and picking up was a pain in the ass with pontoons parked at the end. The wind was blowing pretty good pushing me into the weeds and shore, boats floating around dock, and the few slips for drop off was full. We need more courtesy docks if the Riviera remains busy or don’t allow people to park at the end of the one courtesy dock for drop offs.

Had a slip there for DS.

Ramp didn’t look bad as I drove in but the parking lot was a bit full. There’s a dirt lot off to one side that was filling in.

Otherwise a nice place. Feels like they’re still figuring it out though.

@THE WIDGE quitcher bitchin Matt 🤣🤣. I agree they could use more courtesy docks, but I got a slip there and put the boat in on Thursday morning. Was hardly anyone there. $15 to launch. The slips are really nice… hell, the whole place is nice. I’d definitely use it again.

Explains how the marina lot was only 3/4 full, Saturday at 1pm
When the Islander boots me, I will break down for the Rivera pass.

Couldn’t agree more that it’s nice re why I forked out the $400 for annual pass. Just pushing for more drop off dock space for my $400. Wind caught me good one of the days as I had to drop off wife in slip closest to shore with all other space occupied and nobody moving, and ramp busy for opposite side of dock. All good till someone panics in the wind. Just my 2 cents, I’ll stop my bitchen🤣🤣

DS used to be the busiest weekend for boaters IMO.
Memorial Day you pull a larger party crowd and the channel is insane, but boaters rule DS weekend.

I always told my wife, the busiest weekends in Havasu are
1- DS
2 - Memorial
3 - 4th of July
4 - Fathers Day
5 - Labor Day

We launched at Windsor and Havasu Marina this weekend. The additional capacity is pretty awesome. We did get on the water pretty early each day, but there were zero lines getting on the water and very little off.

No.. Windsor sucked. Lines were long. Never ever go there. Riviera is great!

I was at Lake Havasu Marina one year and pulled the boat out and up away from the ramp. It was 7am on a Sunday with nobody there. We were wiping down the boat and a guy in a golf cart pulls up and tells us to move. There was literally nobody there. I told him we needed about 10 more minutes and we would be gone. He didn't care and told us to move or he was calling the cops. We moved and never went back.

Those are the five weekends that if you choose to go boating, you better have patience to deal with the crowds and idiots .

My boat spends more time beached at the Islander then out on the water those weekends :) When I go to Havasu those weekends
