76 is a good run for a boxer. Really, I think he may have been the last of the old school ones...no calculated diets or scientific type approach, just a boxer. He always seemed "up", excited about his life and what he was doing when interviewed. Rest in peace.

Rest in peace. That George Foreman grill was a regularly used appliance in our house in the 2000’s. I think it’s still in the garage somewhere lol.

He became a very likable guy after being an asshole early on.

Cant remember how many boys he had but named em all George I believe. Lol

RIP George!
… I had forgotten that he really was an asshole in the beginning… but he certainly learned how to become a loving teddy bear later on…🤷🏽‍♀️

Rest in peace George. He seemed like a really good person in my experience in this world, humble, family man and great American. God speed George!

Reading these, I never knew he was and asshole earlier...now I'll have to do some looking. Whatever the case, found God, sobered up, whatever the case, seemed a good guy later in his career. Sometimes people can turn themselves around.
Ya from what I've seen that sums it up. But how many of us were assholes early on.. I made some dumb ass moves and pissed plenty of people and did not have the game that he went through.

…A really good read is the Wikipedia of George Foreman… It details his life and career and is a pretty easy read… because of his passing there will be changes made to it…

I think to be a good boxer you kind of have to be an asshole... LOL... But once he hung up the gloves it seemed he also retired that part of his personality. He was an American Character, that is for sure. Rest easy champ.

He lived down the street from my Dad's cousin. She said he was the most down to earth person you would ever meet. He would be out walking his dogs daily and would stop and chat with anyone.

100%, and people can not help how they were raised and in what conditions. What is the point to dwell on someone's negative when the end result was Amazing.

I have to hope and believe we can be given enough time to maybe not right our wrongs, but at least make a change for the better.
We all have different views and beliefs though.
