Chad passed last night. Chad was a Parker guy so I thought I'd put this up for those that knew him. I met Chad when we built his Firehawk for him back in 2009. He's been fighting cancer as long as I've known him. Such a loving, caring man. I'm so thankful i got to spend time with him, Jennifer, and his beautiful children last weekend. Last time I saw him was Sunday morning when he drove off from breakfast at the Springs headed up the lake. He hugged me, pressed his face against mine, and said "I love you man". Those were the last words I'll hear from him.

Brian, that's both sad and great at the same time. Your last memory of him will always be when he was happy, enjoying what he loved, rather than in some hospital bed. I am sorry for your loss, but on the other hand, I hope I do as well when it's my time to go.

Damn. Enjoyed following him on Instagram but don't recall ever meeting him in person. Shame that he was taken so young and leaves a family behind but from this outsider's perspective he never allowed the disease to run his life. Just another challenge to work around and make the good days all that much better. There's a lesson in there that puts life's daily minutia into perspective.

Thanks Zig
As you would expect. "feeling lost and numb"

Sorry to hear Brian.

I haven't asked my cousins yet, but as West high students and long time Torrance residents, IMA go out on a limb and say they know him as well.

Played football there, then college, got picked up for NFL. Then got sick..... Cancer has no boundaries on who it chooses. Wish I could trade 2 Paddock's for 1 Munson.

Today Jennifer shared this post on her FB page. I came back to it to again, read the really nice comments everyone made. One thing that stands out is "sorry for your loss". 4 words that run deeper than just 4 words. Yes, it's a loss in my life. But it's a loss for anyone that knew him and anyone that would have met him in the future. It's especially his daughter Parker's loss. Jennifer and her 2 children. His mother, siste, and all the familyr. Too many to name. His ex father in completely distraught. We spoke the next day. It was all he could do to hold a conversation.
My son and Chad were like brothers. Chad and I were close, then not so close, then close. Real life. 3 days before losing him we got to sit on a couch together at the Nautical pool and talk. It was a great conversation I'll cherish for ever. He touched me in a way I'll never forget and inspires me to be the best person I can.
It's becoming a catch phrase.... but seriously FUCK CANCER

I've been following this thread from the beginning. It's heart breaking even as an outsider. It brings up memories of similar situations in almost all of our lives, or at the very least similar situations that directly effected us. All one can hope is that those closest to him can find peace in his passing and the rest can reflect and bless those who are effected or moved by the situation.

RIP SIR..... It is obvious that you have affected and touched many!
