Yea Roy past in 2021 maybe 2022, but his products have to have gone somewhere. He had parts made etc to build 10-15 oars at least. @RiverDave may know what happened to all his remaining parts.

So to put a positive spin on your comment, you're noting that the next guy who makes them needs to use a sealed hollow tube for the arm and a threaded billet handhold and paddle so they will float.

Honestly, if you're boat is bitchin' enough to deserve one of these billet paddles, the paddle should seldom need to be used.

I wasn’t knocking the paddles. I think they are sweet. I have a few billet paddles that made in high school machine shop.

I had my good friend Joe @joecfd1 engrave a few of these for family and a couple close friends when Roy passed 3 years ago (billet paddles Roy made).

Try checking in with Preston over at Horizon, he purchased a lot of the bullet items that were left on the shelves when we were clearing out Roy’s shop.

the problem is finding them, its finding someone that wants to part with one, myself included. I sold my buddies boat after he passed and pulled the billet paddle out of it before it sold to keep as a memory. So, I have one, but have no desire to part ways with it...............

I had a 1969 shiada flat bottom, v-drive and it had a rex billet paddle, no reverse so the paddle got used often, but the guy who drove out from Michigan in an old ford ranchero to tow it back was adamant about including it in the sale.

We had a 1978 bahner, flat deck w/full stringers, original owners, had a rex billet paddle, and the new owner I sold it to also was adamant about including it in the sale.

My current boat doesn't deserve a fancy paddle. My buddies build does, and my next boat will certainly have one or two fancy paddles, so I am in the market needless to say.

I lived in San Dimas for decades and used to cruise over to Rex's for all kinds of billet goodies over the years, never thought it would be so difficult to acquire a billet paddle, lol

I have a group of guys up here that would be willing to go in on a group buy if we can get the ball rolling with some one to make it worth their time.

Anyone that has a paddle in hand and someone with CAD to measure it up (reverse engineer it) and create the drawing and file? This would speed up the process immensely.

Yeah, I'd buy one too. Looks like a "need" for my mandella.

Here is a close computer model of the handle. I can be easily adjust it when I have the real thing in my hand. I’ll start modeling the paddle itself ( the blade) from the pictures but I will need the actual one in my hand to make the final model. The decorative grooves appear to be plunged with a form tool.
