Bought it and it would slightly roll back into the canister retrax said it was a 1/8” too long. It didn’t sit flush with the canister cover by the cab (see picture). They sent me out a new canister and tonneau. Told me I could do whatever I wanted with the old one since it would cost too much to send back and they couldn’t resale it anyway.

All it needs is rails ($339-$496) to fit your truck and the front cover($137).
It’s for an 8’ bed. I have a 2018 super duty.

I would be interested. But it sounds like this will not fit correctly hence why you got them to send a new one?

So I would be out $1100 for it to be complete but not fit right or am I miss understanding what’s going on here?

Im guessing it was for a different bed other than ford. I figured it would be a good deal for someone that didn’t mind it not being flush or take the risk on a different manufacturers 8’ bed.
Price is best offer. Not really sure how else I’d be able to get rid of it other than a bulk trash pick up

Well bulk won’t pick it up because it’s an “auto part”. Anyone want a free retrax.

This for sure is for a long bed?
Yes. It fit my 2018 f350 8ft bed. But it was like 1/8th inch too long and slightly rolled back into the canister just enough to where it didn’t look flush. After paying full price I wanted it flush.

This is only the canister and tonneau. Needs bedside rails and front cover.

I helped a neighbor install one of these about 6 months ago.
I was skeptical at 1st . . . but after the install I was very impressed.
I don't need it, but if anyone was considering one, i think it's a great system and very well built.

these are the best retractable tonneau there is. I have had a few of them now and won’t order anything else.

good deal for someone with a long bed. just buy the rails and front cap and you’re done.

Why can't it can be shortened to fit a short bed. Just have to take it apart and remove some of the pieces or just leave it and not roll it all the way out.

That’s actually a valid point. There’s 2 small screws holding in each slat and the they just slide out.
