If you replace it with another...I suggest not using it anymore! They aren't exactly the most durable device. Really neat when they work, but pricey and a pita when needing replacement.

This is the direction I went as an option to replace the existing Innovative Telescoping Stern light with a conventional 2-Pin Light Socket which will accept an aftermarket stern light pole.

Innovative Lighting makes an adapter ring, part #512-9911-11 that will work in the 1 3/4" hole left behind from the original light.

We make a billet plug that you can install in the boat that will accept a standard round Perko light base. You could then use any pole light including the Whip stuff.

When you remove the Powerlight, you'll be left with a 2" hole in the boat. Too big for the standard light bases.

I just ordered the base. What else do I need to order to make the lights you sell work with the base. Thanks

If you ordered the adapter you will just need a perko 1045 plug and the boat whip.

Do you still have the power stern light?
No i don’t, sold a few months ago. And haven’t seen another since. Wanted to put that last one in my new boat but couldn’t bring myself to it.

Be very very careful, lots of tiny screws, but it’s basically a plastic worm gear that moves up and down via a small plastic gear. The power wire runs through the plastic worm gear, very basic and what happens is someone pushes on it or it jams a little while up or down and strips the worm gear. Keeping everything as tight as can be and no wobble is the only way to make one last.

They generally break the retractor cable that houses the wires for powering the light. Ive had some success in repairing them if the break is close enough to the base. You lose some length though
