That's what it is then. Washington I think doesn't have property tax so people live there but do there big shopping in Oregon.
My brother lives in Ariel Washington no property tax and works in Portland Oregon no sales tax. I guess you can say there is one smart Pollock in our family. The one big problem as in my brothers case is that when the sun is out (not raining) nobody shows up to work, there all out playing in the sun somewhere...

Just a few short years away.

Keep my place in AZ for the winters, Wife's health care, and tax advantages.

Get something in eastern Oregon or Idaho for the summers to escape this god awful heat.

Oregon has plenty of taxes, just not a sales tax YET!! They make up for that in property taxes.

Irrelevant factoid: Oregon...the only place I have ever been where it is illegal to pump your own gas at the gas station!!

Pacific North West ... Just East a little....don't want to be more specific, cause I don't want people to get any ideas :D:D:D

I thought we are all friends here. :)Wouldn't you want to share your retirement ideas with your fellow River Dave Bro's or just go it alone.:(

I think he struck gold and he ain't gonna share:p

I don't think I will have just one retirement spot. But each, where ever they might be, should be an income maker when we're not there.
