So ironically enough a friend of mine owns these duplexes.. This morning one roommate got super pissed at the other roommate and ended up shooting him… in front of a 17 year old kid whom called the cops.

Happened about 500’ from my house on McCullough.

That said after it gets cleaned up there’s gonna be a nice duplex available for rent if anyones interested. Lol.

Haha, I was going to say that. Once you move to Havasu, after a year a 4-mile drive is like traversing the state.

Yeah one roommate wasn’t paying the rent.. other guy said he needed to pay, first guy says I’m not paying what are you gonna do about it? Second guy pulls gun and empties ten hollow points into deadbeat roommate. Calmly walks outside and talks to neighbor who was asking where the gun shots were coming from.. lol. He said “right here” and told him what he did!

Fucking crazy

I had a guy working for me who was doing a lot of coke (as related to me by another employee). He was acting so weird that I was looking for a reason to fire him. Fortunately, he decided to quit.

A few days later, his rent was due. He didn’t have his half, but he knew his roommate had enough to pay the full amount. So, as his roommate was toweling off his hair after a shower, he shot the roommate in the head with a shotgun. He then threw the guy in the back of his truck, drove into the woods, and got his truck stuck in the mud. By the time he walked back into town, he realized he’d f’ed up, and turned himself in. This happened about 30 years ago, and he’s been sitting in prison since then with no possibility of parole.

I’m not sure what the moral of the story is, but I’d certainly be leery of having a roommate, unless they were staying rent-free.

Funny for the 5 years we lived full time in Havasu there wasn't a Walmart, Kmart, Home depot, Lowe's, Amazon or ebay. We went to Vegas maybe twice a year at that.

My buddy got killed by his tenant. Shot in the back and his throat slit. Not over rent though. DA going easy on the murderer and last I heard he might spend 5 years in prison. He claimed temporary insanity.

Saw his Mom yesterday and the toll it has taken on her is hard to watch. His Fiancee at the time was pregnant also. Just a fucked up thing to happen.

I was there when Dave first moved in. He messed up his hand and was in a panic. Because he had so much stuff to unpack so he called me.
I told him go to bed it'll be done first thing in the morning.
He was surprised that I had everything done in 1 hour which he thought was gonna take all day. He felt guilty that it got done so fast that he bought the guy's pizza and beer and only one of them could speak English ha ha ha ha ha.
