Regulated return for two tanks?

I'm running a 572 with a 1050. Baby blower. I want switch from a mechanical pump to an electric pump. With the increased flow I'm thinking that I need a return.

My questions are: do I actually need one?
If so, how do I plumb it for dual tanks?

Thanks!

This is how I did mine. I pull fuel and return to dual tanks. image.jpg

Your regulator it what determines if you need a return or not. That Imco system will solve your problems all together. You can also run the return back to the fuel filter. Most have multiple inlets on the bracket.

You could do that too, but try to go through a fuel cooler on your way back to the fuel rails.

I run a Clay Smith mechanical pump to an Aeromotive regulator w/return. I run the return line to a 2 way gate valve and return fuel to the same tank I'm pulling from. I installed returns in the fill hose of each tank. This is on a 565" twin turbo motor.

Great input guys. Thanks!

I like the six way selector (?) setup. Of course the return to the filter/separator would be way easier. It seems like it would confuse the flow? Trying to push back to the tank and draw from it at the same time?

I'll look into Imco's system too.

Thanks again

Ok. Have an aero motive a2000 on the way. Gonna pull from both tanks and return to both tanks. I'll let you know how it goes...
