I put 600 hours on my twin toon boat and 400 hours on my single engine toon. Next boat is a 32ft twin outboard boat.

I need to be able to go 60 or I can't make this change. Will a 400r push up to 60?

On or off the trailer??? Asking for a friend.

You will need more then a F150 if on the trailer.........

Magic won’t do what my toon will
Are you referring to every weekend not being a Avalon regatta and every weekend continuing to be a magic regatta? Jk. I love your toon still can’t believe you’re even possibly selling it. Look forward to seeing what’s next.

How about going big? Here is a twin outboard toon. I shot this video earlier today in honor of this thread.

I just shot this. Ironically, it was passing by while I did my last post. Obviously I am boating today.

I agree. You could by a Magic that does 3 MPH less, buy back your Schiada, and have 100k in your pocket to bet on coin flips…. Or have 1 toon :)

If @Englewood still had his 525 Magic I’d wager this thread would never have been created :).

A single engine I/O deck boat with over 650 or so HP is a ticking time bomb in your wallet. They sound like a great idea, but there is a reason no one keeps them long term.
Like I said..don’t over power your drive. It’s the number one reason that you have to break out the wallet. Compared to a 200 k toon? It’s cheap

You are not wrong! This all kinda began on “accident”.

I had the Magic and loved it. The kids wanted to try more water sports so I find a deal on a Nautique G23 in Kansas. I get it shipped out here and somehow the tower meets a tree or roof and rips it out of the side of the boat. Totaled. Never got to use it.

In my head, if that had arrived as i planned, I’d likely still have both.

How about a center console with 16 400r’s?

Brian

Slight problem. My wallet is 14 400r’s short.

I’m saying Just everything overall. These big twin toons are pretty damn capable. Rough water, comfort, carrying guests and payload.. they are pretty hard to beat.

The only reason I’d like to sell mine is I don’t think I need a quarter million dollar boat. We bought a expensive lot and I want to rally a bunch of cash to start the home build. I’d feel a lot better with that money going towards that and another Hallett in the garage.

I agree they are better.. just not 2.5x better. And this point you could buy a cheap Magic, slap new interior, stereo and full Bimini on it, be $100k ahead, and do about everything you do now.

Nothing against the twin engine toons or toons in general, but they are expensive boats these days.

I hate to give it to the toon guys, but while we were all getting our asses kicked crossing the basin the Tri toon guys were already holed up at Cottonwood sipping drinks last year for the damn dam run. Says a lot of you ask me.

What are the details on that Heatwave boat?

Be careful Curt, they will come at you like come at Robby Gordon in the Speed thread 🤣
Heatwave isn’t building a boat. They have partnered with us on making LCC glasses. We did a rendering for them and who’s knows maybe they will in the future.
Ya I’m sure they will but I knew this going in. Anyone is welcome to come down to the shop and see the progress. It won’t be long now.

Not sure how fast we were going but you can see how the toon blasts through pretty much anything. Crazy stable, don’t even think i spilled a sip of beer.

The RDP Ride or ex-ride?

Awesome!! Nice move on the glasses as well. A friend of mine has a very early one on order. I'm excited to see it.. I know he is too.

Had mine at 62mph, running 6600rpm in cooler off season conditions.

🤷‍♂️

I Know an Avalon would have to go over a water fall to make that happen - the best I could get out of a new 27 with a 400 merc. was around 50mph with 4 people on board and no gear in it.
