joe rogan had dr phil on recently and they discussed online behavior and other things. was very interesting and pretty spot on. some of the things they discussed i see happening here daily. My experience currently is the combativeness, hate and posturing on RDP has surpassed my facebook feed. the desire by some people posting on here to prove their opinion is right and the only opinion that matters is staggering.

I've been on a lot of community pages and the behavior and comments is disturbing. The absolute idiotic things some of the people say is disturbing as well..

RDP isn't nearly like sites of the "next-door" or fb / ig type comments..

I will say the comments on our YouTube channel are inherently positive though? Those fuckers are just happy to see boats. LOL

I have to deal with the “association” of it all the time.. hotboat was a cesspool.. god damn good shit talkin time back in the day but all it was is arguing and negativity. A big part of the reason I started the subsequent forums and eventually rdp was to get away from that shit.

I hear from people all the time about the negativity.. if you think rdp is negative go on Facebook or IG.. the thing that is so bizarre about Fb is there it is with your whole
Life right there.. pic, name, city etc and people are absolute assholes and ruthless..

Even with the veil of protection of a screen name rdp is 100x better than fb or IG..

I was actually at adrenaline trailers a month or so ago and Wayne jr told me.. “at least on your fb group you are pretty on top of it.. if someone says something stupid you try and educate them and if they are assholes they are gone.”

Made me feel good that at least someone is noticing..

I do try to keep this place positive. I actually spend a lot more time doing shit most wouldn’t even know about to keep it that way.

In some cases it isn’t always positive but the overall vibe of the joint is pretty good I think

It is an overall Good Vibe Dave.... only so much you can do on such a wide open forum and I think thats where the appeal derives from. Its real simple for me.... if a thread is negative or non constructive I just move onto a different thread. Easy.

I hope you end up reading this. When I first stopped lurking on RDP you and I had many discussions about the "R" word down in the dungeon and I defended the facts about how it's a medical term bla bla ad nauseum.... In the end I finally got it.

I honestly have done my best to remove that word from my vocabulary to this day. I know it's just one part of why you are leaving RDP, I just wanted you to know our discussions changed my outlook on the way words can still affect anyone, even "it's not directed at you, why are you upset?" is not an acceptable answer to me anymore.

Please stick around. Your input and adventures are a wanted variable that makes this place special, as a whole even the smallest loss still diminishes RDP overall.
